Kinda stopped listening to Sky a while ago. I don't hate his music which is usually well produced at least. But the 1) Uncreative hooks and the 2) Tendency to dress up what is ultimately trite subject matter with needless obscurity pretty much put me off him. I do really like his 'Ghetto America' freestyle from back in the day though, along with the intro from the joint he made with 9th.
reading the comments here, I will say I am a Sky fan. will always check for his projects. his flow is airtight. he does not pick a wack beat. his production is ALWAYS top notch. from my perspective I can see how he is boring to a lot of others. a lot of the songs he makes are the same. his songs are very even with each other, but there are some songs that stand out every now and then and you can better see where he is going with it. one thing I always know is his production wont let me down. he should consider doing another joint album, like Barrel Brothers.
Never followed his music, is he from NYC or LA? Always thought it was nerd rap.

Skyzoo been out for 20+ years, been rapping in his current style for close to 15, I'm confused by dudes in this thread listening to this album and complaining like you don't know what type of music he makes. why listen?

Really good album...potent lyrics but they're a little too NY themed, if that makes any sense. I've had that gripe for the past few projects of his.
Also he's incredibly gifted lyrically, but if you need ~ 3-5 minutes to verbally explain roughly 8 bars (Jazz in the projects), and even then the explanation wasn't that great, then you might be a little too cryptic
