:jbhmm:So what are your thoughts on the graphics now?
I don't know I haven't turned it on yet. I watched a video that said the graphics were on par with the pc with pro support but obviously the pc had its advantages with some draw distances and frame integrity

I'm kinda irritated I had to buy it so it's just sitting there

I just started playing this. What's the deal with the combat system? No auto lock on to an enemy is rough and going to take getting used to.

Skyrim and every TES game before it has really bad combat. Lock on wouldn't work in a first person game.

You will get use to it. The game and lore is goat.
That's what I've heard so I got it on Black Friday, just getting around to it now. The Witcher 3 is one of my favorite games ever so I decided to try this out.

I'm playing in 3rd person, so maybe that has something to do with it, but I really just don't like playing in first person.

The 3rd person is crap, I mean it's there but really you're supposed to play in first person

If that's the case, this may not be for me.
Maybe I'm :flabbynsick: but playing 1st person gives me a headache a lot of the times so I generally try to avoid it.

I only go first person for combat, for everything else I stay 3rd person. If you run a thief build that mainly focuses on backstabs, or a dual wielding warrior, you can stay 3rd person for combat, but I would advise you to just get use to first person.

And understand, I get where you're coming from, I didn't really like Skyrim all that the much the first time I played it. I kinda liked fallout so I decided to try skyrim out on a whim since I prefer medieval roleplaying fantasy over what fallout was offering. What changed my mind on Skyrim and the TES series as a whole was when I returned to whiterun after killing the dragon attacking the nearby watch tower. When I entered the city I came across the Alik'r Warriors, I was instantly captivated by their attire and swords. I immediately run to google and spent the whole day devouring every piece of information regarding the Redguards of hammerfell since I originally thought they were just a generic token black race. Turns out, at-least for me, they were the most unique take on a black race that I have ever came across in the entire fantasy genre.

From that point on, I restarted my game and decided to roleplay as a one-handed scout type of character wearing the Hammerfell garb and scimitar that the Alik'r warriors wore. I spent 60hrs on that first playthru. I was able to truly immerse myself in the world and appreciate all of what I found in skyrim, this greatly enhanced my exploration and dungeon crawling experience. I fell in love with the series after this. I guess my point is this, don't drop it so fast, you might end up finding something that pulls you into the world like I did.

Thanks. Yeah I felt similar with The Witcher 3 when I first started playing it. I didn't like it much at first and put it down for a couple days, then I went back to it and played a little more and eventually something clicked with me and I fell in love with it. And now, like I said earlier, it's one of my favorite games ever.

I'm still really early in the game, like probably less than 30 minutes, so I'll definitely give it more time.
