When I first got Skyrim I played it for 10 mins and got BORED and didn't touch it again till 7 months later

game pulled me right back in 
it does such a good job of making you want to explore shyt 'off the beaten path'. I think the fact it doesn't have a mini-map helps it feel more organic. it becomes more "lemme see what that cool looking temple is all about", than "lemme see what this 'question mark' on the map is"
