SNL is hard to watch. there was a brief time in the 80's then like 92-96 when it was funny. but i feel like that shyt was just off the sheer luck and talent. after will farell blew up and all them folks got movies like superstar and ladies man, shyt been SUPER ASS.

Damon talked about how SNL was trying to limit his creativity. They were turning down his pitches for sketches and he felt like he wasn't allowed to be himself. It was because Lorne Michaels was trying to keep him from being compared to Eddie Murphy. He went off script and made the character gay just as a way of expressing how tired he was with the show.
Some of what he ended up doing on In Living Color was rejected material from SNL.
