Lol I do...I can max out on most legs machine but my legs just never grow. 6'5" lean frame so I have an excuse.

Calves are largely genetic breh, the insertion point really determines how they look. If they are low then you get Ray Allens, if they are high then you get T-Macs.....

That's because AA and A in general have higher gastrocnemius bellies (calf muscles) than every other ethnic group - the lower the bellies, the more pronounced the calves will be. Barring implants/injections, your calves aren't going to get any bigger than they now are.

Mostly genetics but coming from a been that has 3d thick calves...do this...seated calve raises with heavy weight...gotta get a full stretch from the beginning...do 10 reps fast 10 slow for 3 sets...you will cry later but I bet you will see growth in 3 months

I haven't encountered any of those problems. I have the high top ones and just jump rope in them.

Never saw gains like this from anything else.

I did read stories about people getting hurt, and I can see how it could happen.
I never got any good results from any of the calf exercises...and I'm a guy who reads and studies bodybuilding articles and books.

Got good results from using these and from when I switched over to just bodyweight exercises. I use heavy bands, chains, and weight vests, but just from positioning yourself in "mechanically disadvantaged" positions with no additional weight, simple exercises become much more difficult.

These shoes basically do that to your calves.
