There's nothing you can do about it. Working out will make them more tone, but they'll still be skinny as hell.

Anybody else have this problem?:sadcam:

I do barbell raises in the squat rack, dumbbell raises, seated barbell raises, calf raise machine, nothing works. My legs got shredded like old newspaper but didn't actually grow :why:
That's because AA and A in general have higher gastrocnemius bellies (calf muscles) than every other ethnic group - the lower the bellies, the more pronounced the calves will be. Barring implants/injections, your calves aren't going to get any bigger than they now are.

Genetics. Calves aren't like the upper body. The most you'll ever get is a constant showing of your veins down there with a very small increase in size.

I’ve had noticeably bad calves long before I ever thought about the gym. Ever since I was a kid. You can still tell who skips leg day though.

Genetics determine a lot with the baby cows but you can add a bit by going at them daily.

It’s a Small muscle in the grand scheme of things. Recovers pretty quick


Relatively heavy weight and HIGH reps. I saw my best results at 4 sets of 50
