Uppin this thread because there were some news about that today. Surveillance cameras caught the fight and this is what happened :[...]
What happened in Paris last week was more likely a encounter between a far-left group and a far-right one. The first one cussed a the second and the second hid in a store and called for back-up. Back-up came and fight ensued. Clément Méric caught a couple of punches (brass knuckles may be involved), got thrown and his head hit the pavement or a plot which caused a bleeding and unfortunately his death...
[...]
- When back up came, there were no immediate confrontation.
- Méric attacked Esteban M. who was standing with his back turned to Méric.
- Esteban M. defended himself and punched Méric with a hitta quitta to his face or maybe two punches, it's not clear apparently.
- Méric hit the pavement and then the brain bleeding ensued
- Méric was not beat down when uncounscious on the pavement
- Doesn't seem like Esteban M. used brass knuckles
Esteban M. will then be tried for involontary manslaughter and not for 2nd degree murder (I don't really know how those charges work in the US, but I mean that he will be tried for the least charge when death is involved...)
