He has his origins but he mostly has ideas and thoughts. He has the right and the freedom to think he fits in that ideology. Plus, if he's accepted as the leader considering his origins, that means his legitimacy is super high.

You may not know about collaboration then. Don't think 100% of the French were in the Résistance because not everybody in France fought the Nazis... Some of them were really happy to see the invaders and welcomed them with open arms.
History tells us that there were two types of collaboration
- "collaborators" who helped the occupying force but did not necessarely agree with the Nazi ideology.
- "collaborationnists" who helped the regime and agreed with the Nazi ideology and WANTING Germany to win.
Well a good minority (a good 50K maybe up to 100K depending on the sources, and that's only for members of known pro-nazi parties, I'm not counting the average joes) of the french were collaborationnists and many many many more were collaborators...
Those grandfathers you're talking about may have been collaborationnists

I feel you but sometimes words' meanings change for the worse and you can't help it. The ska skinhead movement doesn't exist anymore, therefore remain the "other" skinheads known as the boneheads. They are a derivative of the original movement because they liked the same music, wore the same brands, went to the same parties/concerts, had the same social backgrounds but they diverged in the ideology unfortunately.
I mean it's like in the US, in the beginning the Republicans were the "left" party and the Democrats were the "right" one if I don't misunderstand. Meaning has changed with the time and may change in the future, we don't know yet...

Nazi's first "enemy" would be jews, so...plus there's the whole "last one on the bus" theory that goes that some migrants (or their sons, or grandsons) resent newer migrants because
A. they feel if those new migrants do some shyt, people won't make a difference between those who are more "established" and the newer ones and resent all of them
B. it's not because you're not white that you can't be racist (hopefully someday y'all will understand that). That dude probably feels that France is HIS HOME, so he might hate newcomers.
And a lot of lebanese/syrian/armenian guys have been in France for generations now, they might ethnically be different from your "average" French but a lot feel 100 % French.
Sidenote: for the whole discussion about skinheads and how the original group was hijacked by the British Extreme-Right, watch "This is England", dope movie, was a real eye-opener.
