I really need help with finding a hair moisture for my daughter. She has my dry hair, but her mother's texture. Long straight hair with a bit of waviness to it.

We were originally washing her hair everyday, had to cut that out. Now every other day . Better but still dry. Currently using just coconut oil for moisture... But it evaporate/absorbs too quickly. Used Shea Moisture products in the past but they appear to be a bit too sticky.

Any suggestions? Gonna cop some Camille Rose this evening and try that.

Help!:damn:

Do you know her hair type? That will determine the products and the routine. I don't recommend coconut oil at all, it doesn't work for every hair type and if your daughter has a looser "silkier" texture, it's probably just drying her hair out more.

Looking at this chart it's 2A, with thin strands:

Right now I use Matrix Biolage shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair and then deep condition with Olapex #2. Then I use L'Oreal Sleek it Straight heat protectant, I use the conair 3-in-1 styling hair dryer with the comb attachment and then straighten my hair with the Nume 1 inch iron. I'm about to switch up my regimen though with the Marcel iron and then I'm going to try out the glamtwinz straight hair routine. Their routine involves way more products but people on youtube have followed their routine and gotten good results so I'm going to try it out.
As far as maintaining length, honestly it's just genetics for me, I can go a month without moisturizing my hair with no problems, however I do take MSM powder supplement daily which I feel has helped my hair grow.
Thanks love. I appreciate the advice

Idk if I should get this or the Sunday Riley Good Genes :patrice:

Sunday Riley good genes is amazing!

Ooh I'm watching this thread. I have a lot of hyperpigmentation on my cheeks and a little on my forehead. Plus I've got large pores, especially on my cheeks and texture (flesh colored bumps). :guilty:

Try a good Vitamin C serum for the pigmentation. I have it around my mouth on my upper lip and I use the kheils vitamin C and it’s done wonders!

Try Lush ultrabland! It’s oil based and I use my hands to put it on. And then I just wipe away with a warm wet towel but I let it sit over night because it rebalances your skin
