While we on it though the basketball shyt from fresh prince did piss me off. I remember the episode he played against allen payne and his team. Had a scout from Georgetown at the game and he balled out. After that episode they just killed the storyline.

mad scandals due to the court not being regulation size

Good Times - James comes into a gang of money and Florida makes him give it up. Even as a youngin I'm sitting there like :scust: :martin: "Trick, you live in the projects barely making it day to day... You better let that niigga keep that money!!!" :damn:

Watching Good Times today makes me realize Florida was on some Super c00nery. She caped DUMB HARD for white Jesus and George Washington that time Michael got suspended for writing an essay shytting on him.

Why most sitcoms have grown main characters allowing their parents or parent-in-laws over their houses WEEKLY and being all disrespectful as hell? Parents like Ray Romano's mama and George Lopez's mama would have been kicked out and BANNED from the house if it was up to me.
Was just about to come in and say this. Every sitcom has driven me crazy with the overbearing parent/in-law episodes or premise. I've been watching Roseanne again on Amazon. I've always hated her mom on there.

It was hard for me to watch Good Times growing up because James Evans WAS my father... The facial expressions, the way he talked, everything.... I'd be sitting there watching like

Everybody Hates Chris. Funny show at times but the daughter was a complete a$$hole and Chris was just dumb as hell knowing that his parents are super strict but made consistently bad decisions. I can't watch it too often cuz it gets on my nerves...

Chris lettin that fat whiteboy whoop his ass constantly bothered me....

2:15 mark

Chris throws a haymaker and makes him keel over. All he has to do is throw a few more and finish him off. What does he do instead? Stand there with his hands down and let’s the boy beat ass :mindblown:

Now you lookin like food at the school, getting stuffed in lockers, getting your fade ran constantly when you coulda just threw a few more punches, ended the shyt, and not have anyone bother you from now on.

like the scout just up and lost interest because Allen Payne went around Will and scored the winning basket:comeon:

Above the fray.
Think of situations from tv shows that irritated you or defied logic.

Prime example: The episode of Fresh Prince where Will was quickly building a legit career as a successful car salesman....

only for his family to make him quit, go back to school and rack up debt, work at that shytty campus store, and still not know what he wanted to do by the end of the series or have anywhere to live :mindblown:

fukk them for that, fa real :pacspit:

good thread but bad first example

that was a good call by uncle phil(lawyer) to honor his promise to his sister in law to look out for will.
and what debt are you talking about? Uncle Phil paid Will's tuition.

they made will into a JJ character towards the end of the show but people didn't notice because the family wasn't poor......but irresponsible free wheeling Will was a more popular character,I guess

Bothers me that they have the smart character play the butt of jokes in Black sitcoms.

He can't just be a regular character who is smart....he has to be socially awkward geek who gets clowned.

Michael from Good Times & Cosby show was an exception....Theo's friend with the terrible flat top was always getting praised for his grades....Dwayne Wayne was a cool smart guy on Dif.Word

other than that....Carlton Banks, Braxton from Jamie Foxx, Urkel were typical characters on Black shows

That was so stupid.

And Will was sulking HARD after the game saying, "i dunno man, my game just wouldn't come together tonight"

I'm like....nikka you hit EVERY shot:gucci: you shot 100% from the field and gave up ONE basket
