I can't be unbiased when it comes to Deebo but a 5th sounds like nothing for him.
The dead money was huge cutting him as well. The fact we were willing to depart this easily with him considering what it will mean for the cap is still kinda baffling to me.
eh, buddy looked completely washed last year and his mileage + playstyle wasn't a good look moving forward, I was mentally prepared for them to cut him so a 5th rounder is whatever. We got Demo, Huf and Kittle in the 5th round too :yeshrug:

Moving Deebo gonna look like a crazy decision if CMC is washed.
:hubie:
Kyle's offense don't work lately without at least one of them able to be that move piece. Move him and you're looking at needing to be an 'offensive genius' while using the same setup as the rest of the league has. WRs who are WRs. RBs who are RBs. never shall the two meet.

I'm interested to see if Kyle is actually who they claim he is. Because his successes have actually come from exceptional mismatch talent and not exceptional scheme, ESPECIALLY in the passing offense. The dropback game is outdated and has been making due because Brock's mental game plays 2 seconds ahead of the physical game, and the team has had freak athletes in key positions.

Last few drafts been dogshyt offensively.
There is no talent waiting in the wings. It has to be developed; and the scheme has to be adjusted.
Kyle's Aspergic ass don't like to change from what he likes doing. What's gonna give first?
Or are we gonna be having Chris Conley running WR backfield handoffs designed for Deebo again? Because I didn't like them negative yard plays and would rather he stopped installing them once there's no one to run them.

bring CMC back as a slot WR and use him exactly how they used Deebo. Jauan and Pearsall out wide until Aiyuk's back. Feature Guerendo and Mason running duo. Option CMC occasionally, and ramp those up to ease him back to RB while still getting production from him on the field. He wasn't fast enough to get the explosive runs the team needs before the injury. doubtful getting hurt added speed.

yup. I called that before the SB season was done, but I knew he was done-done his first snap last season. Lower leg injuries as an aging RB who was never extremely athletic is usually a death knell.

I think all them talking heads screaming about how CMC would be an NFL-level WR need to be proven right or they need to retire that talking point. I need to see McCac out there running some curls matched up against a slot CB and not a LB. I think he can manage. He's always just been slow Deebo with some actual work ethic. If Deebo had CMC's work ethic or CMC had Deebo's natural athleticism, they'd be dangerous. But I think ship's sailed on boffum.

Team batters RBs into the ground. No more RBs higher than 3rd round and no more paying top RB money on this team. All SF does is break their runners.

To be honest we needed to move on from Deebo but more so than that we paid every major player on our team and that was bad business. The only player out of that crew who has produced at a high level every year is Kittle and we arguably don't use him properly.
