Cost of living that stems from overpopulation. Japan once had 250 million citizens living in a land mass the size of California, and that jacked up the cost of living back in the 70s and 80s. That made people forgo having kids altogether to pay their incomes all on basic needs like housing and food. Now, their population is rapidly depleting from society.

High cost of living = low reproduction rate. It's already happening in major cities all around the US.

But That is something you always vouched for....being in STEM, having no real protection from the law, working inhumane hours, never having off days or vacation days, and taking disrespect from your employer, all for a slightly higher paycheck than poverty wages.

By every metric, children raised by single parents are worse off than kids in a 2 parent home. That's bad for society and economy because those kids won't grow up to be smart and educated

Why would any govt want dumber kids that cant contribute to society, especially a country that needs them like Japan ?

Because a breakdown puts more money in the pockets of the few and is a way to limit minority populations that might challenge the established powers. Legislatively, the US has been at war with the family unit since the civil Rights movement for anyone below upper middle class. Family values are preached at the right to get their vote. The tax code, dwindling support for education, and treatment of healthcare tells you the family advocation is merely a tool to get votes. They know they have created enough of a supremacist culture that those voters will go for it just because other racial groups have a different general opinion or merely because it benefits other races.

So yes, logic and statistics would back a more educated public, but this will only be allowed the extent that it makes The established more wealthy and in control. Enough that it allows enough new members to keep the economy going. Notice how when things get to good for someone not in that group, the bubble talk starts. Contraction talk starts. These are investments being protected in the name of protecting the greater economy. A very Keynesian approach for people that claim to be the opposite. So again, preaching free market to the populace but doing what it takes to protect themselves. The racist element keeps those who should question this at bay. If blacks want it, it are talking advantage of it, then it must be bad.

Long winded way to say, they want enough educated, "good" citizens to keep the economy flowing to the point that it maintains their advantage. This is why they clamor for a Donald Trump. It should be a telling lesson for anyone wanting to understand what the power structure wants the US to be.

People laugh, but i'm "talking" to an older Jap chick and she shares that sentiment. She hates Japanese men because they don't have that "fighting spirit". She also says its pretty much over for Japan after WW2.

She also hates the Chinese and Koreans , but thats another story
