I'm pretty sure its not an either or situation. This woman can trace her lineage back to her grandfather being a samurai., so her family has seen the social climate change over a long period.

So yes, your point is partially valid, but western feminism hasn't seeped over there as much as many think. She left because the US was more progressive on many fronts concerning women (her words) .

I guess my point is, it wasn't just the war that broke them, it was the complete defeat. In a weird way, the greatest defeat was that they are "weaker" than many of the countries they used to fukk over. Bring up Russia to an old school Japanese and see how they react. It is interesting to hear it straight from someone from the culture.

Japan is literally killing itself. The stories I hear from coworkers who visit Japan on business are insane. The work culture makes no sense. Men work or travel to/from work virtually all day.

Then you have a growing group of men who are essentially jobless but hide their situation for fear of shaming. Shut ins who play video games or watch anime all day. And when you can no longer fake it, you commit suicide or disappear into Japan's homeless society...dudes just give up on life and go underground, literally.

Yup. The shame culture finally showing negative effects in Japan. Not to mention you got fathers killing themselves from stress.

From what i understand, a lot of those shut in anime game playing dudes are living off the money their parents left them like the trust fund people over here. No fukking way you can afford to live in some of those expensive ass cities, playing tekken for 14 hours a day, without some money from somewhere. The fact that most ofnthe population is over 60 means at some point that bubble is gonna burst and they are gonna have a real fukkerry situation of there in a second if they dont figureit out.

Japan has always been a country of extremes, probably even before Commodore Perry came through and crushed the buildings back in the 1800s. Either dudes working themselves to death, or working hard at not working (video games, anime etc.). Being extreme doesn't help though in an era of globalization and transparency where being called out for being over-the-top happens all the damn time, and you have no real military or economic power to back people down from breathing down your neck.

The irony of it all is that the position China's in on the global stage is where Japan could've been if they had tried to unify Asia against the European imperialists, but instead they chose to turn into one of the enemy and tried to cut in on a piece of China during their rape and pillage campaigns. It's as if Karma caught them with a flying Bruce Lee kick n shyt haha

Crazy thing is japan is still working for America while China is using its belt and road initiative to build bridges. Even France was force to lean back

Interesting enough, from homegirl i know perspective, WW2 was just Japan protecting Asia from White People (her words). Some attrocities occurred, but in general, it was for the good of the realm and Korea and China exaggerated what happened.

To attribute single motherhood in the west to feminism is shortsighted and lacks historical context. The idea that women all of a sudden decided they could do it all without a man because they got jobs and decided to abandon the father's of their children is what's ridiculous. The government has literally conspired to destroy nuclear family units via multiple attack vectors.

By every metric, children raised by single parents are worse off than kids in a 2 parent home. That's bad for society and economy because those kids won't grow up to be smart and educated

Why would any govt want dumber kids that cant contribute to society, especially a country that needs them like Japan ?

I was speaking specifically about the United States government. If the government had the same concern as you appear to, classrooms in inner cities wouldn't be underfunded and overcrowded.
