Madonna is known for this

Yeah, all Lenny Kravitz did was add some melody to Public Enemy's beat for "Justify My Love"

but that instrumental is in my top 10 of favorite beats of all time though; that instrumental is so soothing and smooth :ohlawd:

it's a damn shame how Lenny and Madonna didn't give Ingrid Chavez her writing credit in the beginning for writing the song though :francis:

There used to be loads of unsigned/no name artists and bands that flipped rap tracks into R&B joints back in the early 00s.

One was called Dangerous and featured a male trio over Shynes Bad Boy Anthem beat that really knocked. Anyone ever heard that one? It got quite a reaction when spun. Another was a female group over Im A Hustla, an RnB remix of Lean Back, loads of In Da Clubs and a few Roc-A-Fella tracks from the sped up sample era with singers and new lyrics. Some bought back 90s DR jams with a vocalist over G Thang and Big Poppa as well as some Snoop tracks.

Never seen them online as they were always white label promos for the clubs back when. Not blends but actual fresh cuts with new vocals over a jacked beat that was sometimes tweaked a bit with a mild mix and knocking kicks for the club. In Essence set off this wave with this banger:

@jensyao @Howard The Duck any of this sound familiar?
