i remember moving to texas at no limit’s peak. no limit was some shyt that we sometimes heard, that tru album was dope.

but in texas, everyone was stans, rockin them fake ass middle of the mall no limit chains. felt like i crash landed on a differnet planet cuz that ahit was wack as fukk, all copied shyt from 2pac, the bandana wearing, the mafia shyt, to remade beats using the same samples but sounding from a $30 radio shack keyboard. ice cream man, tru to the game and ghetto dope albums were AIGHT, everything else was microwaved shyt. sold alot, but wack.
accurate detailing of the past without stannery

excellent

Brehs in here trying to say that NL as a label was trash in 98 with trash artists but yet was the number 1 rap label in that year and was killing shyt in 97 as well :russ:

As a east coast NY/NJ'er yes they were popular...but to say nikkas up here was bumpin they albums is false. The radio wasn't really either. Up here there were a small few like myself that actually fukked with them in regular rotation. So well known - yes...nikkas asking " u got that new Master P???" Nah...i was 18 in 98.

The Shocker & Charge It albums went extra hard. U never really listened to em, so piss off
im gonna have to go back and listen to his albums....i cant front...I was in HS when his first LP dropped and i never got the appeal...but he was a star....but back then i thought he was straight trash...everything from his flow to the beats to the covers of his album

Facts about the radio play

But in 97-2000

The heights and dyckman was fukkin with no limit heavy. No disrespect but i was shocked. It was to the point nikkas wanted to shoot the fade cuz a nikka said cmurda was trash.
