It was an alright album. Even though it was 16 songs (not including the bonus tracks), album felt like it was too long imo

What's crazy to me is that I really like the album... but like someone said, there's nothing excitable about it that makes me want to go listen to it this far after the fact.
But ironically, if I put it on because I've already listened to another CD or there's nothing on the radio, I still thoroughly enjoy it, minus 2 or 3 songs.
I like it when I listen to it... it's just I'm rarely motivated to listen to it. Which is the difference between an album being 3.5/4 and 4.5/5.... Nobody's Perfect is still one of my favorite songs over the past few years

Not one risk was taken on this album. No watershed moments. That's why he gets the "boring" tag from a lot of people.

There is no competition between Sean and Cole. As far talent and versatility go, Sean is miles ahead of him.

boring, trash, emo rap over some ok production but than j cole goes and says shyt like "im the shyt and nikkas cant outfart me" or some corny ass shyt that just instantly made me feel like he is completely overhyped. he has a few messages problem is nothing he says or does hasnt been done before.

great point, along with everybody pointing out how generic his music is. his subject matter is very limited so i see him struggling to put out three more albums at most.

I was just thinking about this yesterday, album had no direction or urgency.
The warm-up and FNL were much better, I still listen to those on a regular basis.
