Just got back from it I agree with most people in here in that it wasn't as good as the first one but it was a damn good follow-up Sequel. The first one would have been a tough to act to follow anyway considering how fantastic it was

All things considered I was really surprised at how well it was made the character still seem fresh more war-torn more scarred by their experiences and I thought the portrayal of the child actors was great.

It really shows there is no stopping machine....and in many ways isn't supposed to be.

dope dope movie
i could watch a million sequels of this lol

i dont even think you necessarily have to watch the first one to see this one

only time alejandro was super hero status was at the pit, thought everything else was completely plausible..

missed how much time had passed between alejandro surviving the pit and the kid becoming a full blown out thug, anyone remember?
wasnt too big on that last scene.. so the kid "kills" alejandro and then gets recruited by alejando? :heh: how could he ever be trusted? also, surely hes done a lot more fukked up shyt since the pit.. thought alejandro was gonna smoke him. idk just doesnt seem believable that alejandro would want to mentor him.. other than that everything else was dope.

oh yeah also kinda wasnt paying attention when josh brolin and his crew were heading back for the girl with the gps tracker, was the dude with the glasses glad alejandro had gotten killed? he made a comment about being glad they didnt have to do it now or something..

Like other poster said 1 year and reason why
That kid first off shot him shows he can kill and biggest is he works under Reyes cartel so he has inside guy to get to him also which leads to 3rd movie

What I like about these movies the best is that there's no happy endings nobody smiles or claps or cheers like they've accomplished something.

Most movies in this genre fail at that. This job blows.

It really shows the day-to-day effects. Even the "good" guys are completely flawed.

Like a time loop.

i haven't seen the first one yet so should i watch that before checking #2? or are the stories not connected?

Watch the first one its damn good and they do link up.
If u haven't seen 1st one u can still watch it cuz how they made it made it seem like it stood on it's on if u go in blind. But watch the 1st one it's too good to pass up

Very valid points. I was thinking about some of those scenes in the beginning like wtf, some obvious Trump shyt. Disappointing Taylor Sheridan went that route, I've lost respect for him and wasn't impressed with his script at all.

Yeah, the opening scene and entire act is at best, tone-deaf. At worst, and depending on your perspective, it's offensive and irresponsible. The worst part, to me, is that none of the ISIS plot was necessary or relevant to the rest of the damn movie.
