SI created a mock committee of AD's and Administrators to select who'd be playing in a playoff this year.

Final Four: Notre Dame, 'Bama, Florida, Oregon.

First Four Out: Georgia, LSU, Texas A&M, Stanford.

Honestly, I don't think you can really REALLY argue against who they chose, can you? All 4 deserve to be in there.....and I can see how Georgia fans would bytch about Florida getting the call over them.

Here's the lank and the mock committee members:

also lmfao @ kansas st not even being in the final 8 teams yet we got 5th place conference teams in there

Yeah honestly id probably take k state over lsu maybe or maybe texas a&m. I'd flip a coin but probably drop lsu based on what ive seen on the field.

The thing that bothers me about Kansas state is that yes they lost but they lost on the road to the 3rd best offense in all of college football. Their wl record is deceiving because as their losses have Ben on the road I mean they lost to 8 ok Norman, 7 in morgsnvolle and 6 in Texas

Alabama lost at home, Lsu lost at home, Oregon lost at home, fla lost in the state of Florida on neutral ground

But Kansas state gets dumped on for losing on the road

even tho this is a mock I still think this how a majority would've voted...that's why I was :ehh: when they decided on this 4-team playoff..I'm not buying into it. I'll continue to say the system ain't shyt unless you do the 5 major conf. champs + 3 at large (2 if ND or any non AQ is in the top 8-10)...thats the only fair system

Read the article, people.

The committee was told to assume that in this weekends games, the higher ranked team will win, meaning Alabama will beat Georgia and Oklahoma, Florida St., Kansas St. and Kent St. will win this weekend as well.

That would take Georgia out the equation. Sorry, fellas.

man us beating GT wouldn't move us up in the polls ANY...Kent St wouldn't be ranked high enough to even be included in any scenario

Part me wants to argue Stanford over Oregon a bit, but Oregon was consistently better throughout the whole year.

K State got punished because I don't think anyone believed they were as good as their record. I know I didn't. Their whole team seemed like an illusion to me.

All I know is once they start the 4 team playoffs the committee is gonna have one hell of a time picking that 3rd and 4th spot plus I think/hope this will lead to more cross conference match ups between upper tier teams (this is for the majority of the SEC not including Bama and LSU)

You going have ppl bickering about that system as well. Sec stans gonna argue about how the other conferences are weaker (big east) and don't deserve to be in the playoffs.
