None of this really makes sense. Cam and MAse say Shakur is "boring" and I understand we all want to see aggression in a fight, but every fight can't be like Hagler v. Hearns round 1 because every fighter ain't built like them. What's the boxers primary goal, to be exciting, or win? Some of this same criticism was thrown at Mayweather during his career because he was a defensive specialist but he's 50-0 and filthy rich.
Shakur should have just responded "Boring and Undefeated" instead of trying to talk street tough and criticize their careers which he apparently knows little about. I'm not a huge Mase fan but I recognize dude is nice and had a lot of success so Shakur saying he had a failed career sounds dumb as fukk.

Glad somebody said something. These are the wrong one's to try and do that little passive aggressive shyt he be doing. While he has always been defensive-minded, Floyd boxed a much more fan-friendly style during his Pretty Boy phase. Has Shakur's style ever been entertaining to the casual observer? The casuals are the ones who bring in revenue for the sport.
At the end of the day, all sports is entertainment and if he's not entertaining it's not disrespectful at all to point that out.

Floyd was much nicer and much more fan friendlier during his younger era though. Once his hands started breaking, he became more defensive and that was win the “boring” or “running” comments started. But it was really beautiful defensive-to-offensive boxing. He became Money Mayweather and would basically sell fights off his promotion alone. nikkas wanted to see him lose and he made millions off of it.
Problem with Shakur is that he’s not as good as he thinks. He has 10 knockouts so either he doesn’t engage or lacks power to finish dudes. Often times, he looks extremely scared to get hit, doesn’t take risks to open fighters up (which is why his fights be boring), and doesnt have the offensive skillset to put higher talent out either. And like Tank said, often his defensive isn’t even as good because he just tries to get in an out of range to not get hit instead of slipping, rolling, etc.
I say all that to say he is a pretty good technical boxer, and boxing is about hitting and not getting hit, he just doesnt have an impressive style. He is leading boxing in least hit fighter because he doesnt engage.
He’s more like a less active Lara than a Floyd Mayweather, but thats why Lara isnt that well liked and not headlining much of anything. Nobody wants to watch that kinda fight
