What do you use to twist your locs?

The top of my head was messed up for a while due to me gettin in a fight and the lame pulled my hair years ago....but now things are growing outta control. For those with dreads, do yall just combine your new growth of random hairs into new dreads?

You can just separate/section as normal.
You can either palm roll/interlock stray hairs into a neighboring loc or if your lock was pulled can start over and make a new one.
If it just has thin spots in the loc, you can make a knot in the thin area and palm roll it smooth or interlock it with a latch hook.
