I have HSV-2 and I agree and support this movement. But youd never catch me do this. Too much to lose and not enough to gain. Not in this lifetime at least. Sad as it is.

Mind you ive also completely cut myself off from the general dating pool so im not being a scumbag and fukking presumably healthy people without them knowing my status either.

Once again folks, condoms and low partners arent enough to prevent STDs. Id been with 4 girls and got HSV-2. Was unprotected...but HSV2 isnt completely prevented by condoms.

Also cant stress enough...DO NOT RELY ON HEALTH DEPARTMENT TESTS TO GAUGE YOUR HEALTH. Most health dept. tests are the cheaper end and will only catch gonorrhea and chlamydia accurately. For example in order to determine if you have HIV with a Health Dept. test you have to have it for at least 3 months for that test to accurately identify it.

And health depts. will only test for HSV IF YOU HAVE A LIVE CULTURE (aka a outbreak of sores). If not you have to get a very expensive blood test called a IGG test that most health depts. DONT OFFER. HSV affects everyone differently so dont think a lack of lesions means youre good.

This is my way to spread awareness because so many people have it, dont know it, and arent aware of effective ways to find out they have it.

I had a child out of wedlock over 11 years ago. I'm not living that life no more. But outside of me the point remains: there's a difference between single instances and lifestyles. And of course calling someone a hypocrite is meant to be a negative stop playing. And the holiday argument has merit but it ultimately doesn't matter. Christians aren't instructed to follow any holiday (though some argue Passover should be honored). Spending a day recognizing the birth or Resurrection of Christ has no bearing on one's salvation
