i don't disagree with appealing to as many potential customers as possible. just like with interviews and using an afrocentric name on your resume, some people will discriminate. there are ways advertise in black owned publications, spaces, programs.

i don't appreciate her approach or her comments about staying on the plantation. makes her sound dumb and a big turnoff.

I don't care what she said in the video but to the central conceit of this thread;

I wouldn't plaster it over my brand like that.

Not because I'm ashamed of my blackness but because it serves very little purpose financially.

The best brands tend to land on something catchy which lends itself to ubiquity.

That'd be my goal, not having the black power fist plastered over my media.

It worked in the 60s n 70s, when there were concentrated efforts to support black businesses by the community.

Now, in a world that believes white ice is colder? Hindrance rather than a help.
