Countdown to Armageddon
If youre gonna suddenly elevate a jobber or midcard guy to main event, put the fukkin belt on him and change his entire role in the company, then you better damn well have a good story to go with it and give him a lot of new things to do to justify it, make it interesting and get people to buy in.
The sorry state of WWE actually worked in their favor with Jinder because him suddenly being world champ was so different and unexpected that that alone got people on board with it, whether supporting him ironically or not.
Then they dropped the ball. Of course.![beli :beli: :beli:](https://www.thecoli.com/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/beli.png)
What the fukk is the point? "We are using him to tap into the Indian market plus Vince loves to reward roided monsters" isnt good enough. What is the explanation kayfabe-wise, entertainment-wise? He has nothing to do. He's no different than when he was jobbing to the likes of Curtis Axel, except he has less body fat and has two terrible security guards. And we're supposed to buy that that was the difference between being at the bottom and being world champ?
Jinder never had a character to begin with beyond "generic evil foreign stereotype from the 80s" which was tired af years ago. That routine should have lasted 1-2 weeks tops in this run, then they should have had a whole new transition story ready where the character evolved and had interesting things to do to keep it fresh week to week.
As it stands, there's absolutely no reason why Jinder would be world champ over literally anyone else. Why not Fandango? Why isnt Jey Uso suddenly the champ? They arent doing anything new, the fued w Orton is boring as hell and going nowhere, and the whole thing is a disaster.
Its like they didnt even try to write an interesting angle. Pathetic.
