Jones gonna get paid like crazy in Japan

:jbhmm:

@trick - This is your field of expertise, no? What MMA promotions do they have out there that he could fukk with, breh?

As far as NJPW - he could easily do the 'obnoxious American' thing well enough for Bullet Club, but Jones and Minoru terrorizing the roster like a Suzuki-Gun Two Man Power Trip would be :ohlawd:

Young Lions backstage looking at the schedule, wondering if they'll have to be ringside when the beatings start like :sadcam:....:mjcry:

Nothing in North America, that's for sure. Unless Bellator wants to risk losing their promoter's license by booking him exclusively overseas and piss off the athletic commissions here.

I don't think the UFC will let him fight, even if he gets that 4 year ban. IF they let him go, all these Russian promotions, Rizin and KSW will be scrambling to sign him. That'll never happen though. They'll let him do jiu jitsu tournaments though, he'll probably show up in Rizin or EBI to grapple if the WWE doesn't try to sign him.

The WWE should try to sign him. He's basically everything Vince likes. Big, strong, athletic, has some charisma...already has an established public persona so Vince doesn't have to do anything to build him up. The UFC already built up Lesnar vs Jones for them, if they want to go that route.

They can't afford pyro but you expect them to sign Jon Jones?

They would be signing Jones with the idea that it ultimately would make them money, not cost them money.

If having pyro made them money instead of costing them money, I'm sure they'd have no problem paying for pyro

You mean like how Brock was supposed to? And yet here they are making budget cuts. They were struggling to sell out SummerSlam.

I have no idea whether they or not they got a positive return on investment from signing Lesnar. I'm sure WWE has access to a lot of metrics that would help determine the answer to that. I don't have that access.

My point is that if they could sign Jon Jones for a number that's less than the amount they forecast to gain in additional revenue by signing him, they could obviously afford to sign him irrespective of how big those numbers are.

On the other hand, if the number that they would have to pay Jones is more than the amount that they forecast his signing to increase their income, they wouldn't do it even if they had Apple level cash reserves.

Jones vs Lesnar at Mania would be insane and like someone said earlier, UFC already built up that fight for them so it's easy money. Hopefully they actually do it because it would be the outside excitement that WWE needs right now.
