I remember we had this conversation before and people were arguing that Tony wasn't a sociopath and animals had nothing to do with anything in the show.
He should have killed him a season back, he didn't, Ralphie was a top earner and his head was straightened out a little after his sons accident should have let it pass, if he fukked up or his head wasn't in the game then he should have done it...but he made a mistake, it was petty, reactionary, senseless and created more problems then it solved.

Ralphie had it coming dude was a habitual line stepper it just so happened he pushed Tony over the edge killing Pie. Tony is a sociopath remember in the 2nd to last episode of the final season Dr. Melfi was reading that article, and it said that sociopaths empathize with babies and animals. That's why she quit seeing him he was just using the therapy to rationalize his actions.

Only problem I have with that, is it seems fraudulent as hell coming from Tony. This nikka done murdered so many peopleHe had his Jackie's son murdered when he really didn't have to do it. Two of Jackie's friends got killed robbing that joint & he was pissing himself scared about dying. I think the point was made VERY clear to Jackie Jr he wasn't cut out for that life
