Should There be some sort of cap on how much money one can have in this country?

Any endeavor to provide assistance to poor people should be spearheaded by a consortium of private citizens. Having the state double as a charity will only result in everyone being punished in the form of forced taxation at gunpoint. The idea that I should forego a portion of my income in order to help Shaniqua with 8 kids living in the projects is beyond ludicrous and would make the plot of a transsexual-centered Japanese anime look simple. In case you haven't figured it out this is an endorsement for voluntary, privately funded social programs.

The alternative to giving free money to hoodrats is...employing them and turning them into productive members of society. But I guess that's too much work.

Damn, looks like your resentment towards poor/black people is overriding any sense of logic you might have. :wow:

I could go into how countries with more of a social safety net are better off, or how most poor people don't meet your "Shaniqua with 8 kids" stereotype, or how programs like food stamps boost the economy, but I can see it'd be pointless.

Like no one person/family can have over $1 Billion, whatever profits they earn over that goes into a charity/program approved by the gov't

to think about it, no one NEED 1 billion dollars, even with 10% of that ($100 million) im pretty sure the great grandkids are going to be off well, it doesn't really help everyone else in this country if a group of wealthy people have more money than half the states in the country and then never use/spend the money, that isn't helping anyone.
We should force all men that are sitting on billions for their personal indulgence to invest in investments that upgrade the quality of living for the poor and the morality of humanity.

Morality is the only thing that can curb population expansion outside of demonic filth.

making it in america isn't easy. to make over a certain amount of money one has to make it dirty. regardless of what their game face looks like. america is a jungle. it's not kumbaya over here. maybe it's because america has too many races, religions and nationalities that makes it a hostile environment.
billionaires got to be heartless ppl by the time they make that money. so i doubt they'll just hand over their sh1t... and since they make the money they can and will influence the law it doesn't happen.

Maybe there should be a salary cap for professional sports athletes? Cut it down to $40,000 a year. The rest would go to the poor. It's not like they are really working. They get to play games. I'm sure that proposal will go well with the MLB, NHL, NFL, and NBA player's unions. :beli:

This thread sucks.

if you're going to be a dipshyt at least be accurate. Statistically speaking you should have used the name "Jill, Heather or Sarah" or some other traditionally white name. Show some self respect and at least be reasonably ignorant next time.

only if we do the same thing for the owners, in fact they should make less because they don't have the chance of bodily injury. Quite literally they don't do shyt.

Owners own the team. They don't need to to anything. Kind of like buying a restaurant franchise. You can hire a manager to do all the work while you sit back and earn a profit. Without an owner, a team ceases to exist, or they move to where investors are willing to buy the team.
With lower-level, semi-pro teams, you see where the owners spend their money. Do they buy new uniforms or try to stretch out the life of the old ones? Do they keep the locker rooms looking modern or does it look like you went back to 1970? Does the team bus look like you "made" it or it is an embarrassing to step into/out of?
On the pro level, they work on a different level of business management because the dollars are bigger and you want to stay in budget. Jerry Jones isn't as crazy as you think; he's more vested in his team and wants to be more hands-on. Other owners let the GM make particular decisions to create a winning team.

Stereotypes aside, I agree with what you're saying. The focus should be on creating more productive citizens rather than giving them welfare.

No, but I do agree with very high taxes for the extremely wealthy. That's a better way to redistribute wealth without killing motivation and ambition.

Taxes were initially implemented for that very reason. But here's the issue: the rich people tend to be smart and the smart tend to be rich. As such, they find loopholes to get around that. One way is by becoming lobbyists. Another is protecting assets through corporations.

I know a guy who bought a car through his corporation, "gifted" it to himself, then wrote it off as charity.

The rich get richer because they're smart. No matter what system you put in place, they'll find a way around it.

:umad: i see what you did there.

your posting trying to say black ppl make too much money? :leostare::sitdown:

trying to make this like the music industry where ppl that run the labels make more money than the artists? :leostare:

"athletes" should be making even more money than they're making now cause they are the talent. it's sports. tv presenters, talent agencies and the bum ass white ppl giving their opinions about sports working in the system should be making less.
