Should There be some sort of cap on how much money one can have in this country?

Yeah but the people who have made a billion would stop investing in things that would create jobs for people like you. Why would you keep working if there was no benefit?
That's what I was saying about if it goes over $1 billion then it goes into a program that will create new jobs or something new that needs help

Would you work harder if your reward was helping the unfortunate instead of getting more money?
And this is why America is corrupt to me, so much greed, people want more than what they need
This country is ran on money too muh and people work for the money, after you make that $1 billion, just help other out, chill with some family, retire and get a regular job

I am talking from a poor perspective
/thread. Just because your bank acct. says overdraft fee, doesn't mean your perspective has to be poor.

if you're worried about society: maybe advocate for appropriate taxes to be applied to the wealthy and those taxes can go toward programs that allow people like you to strive for your billion.

People on here saying "bu but those people create jobs" are lying and they know it. IF I had a billion, it helps no one but me to create BS slave wage jobs, because that will give me another few millions and billions. Those people may still be living in poverty and wealth gaps are still at gross and inhuman levels.

Like no one person/family can have over $1 Billion, whatever profits they earn over that goes into a charity/program approved by the gov't

to think about it, no one NEED 1 billion dollars, even with 10% of that ($100 million) im pretty sure the great grandkids are going to be off well, it doesn't really help everyone else in this country if a group of wealthy people have more money than half the states in the country and then never use/spend the money, that isn't helping anyone.
You could move to North Korea. Only one person is living in a lap of luxury while everyone else is just getting by. There, you'll be happy.

Switzerland is proposing a floor (minimum income) and what you're proposing is a ceiling. Both ideas are fukking horrible in my opinion.

'Greed' is a derogatory epithet applied by jealous people to men of great, unparalleled ambition.

By the way, not every rich person is an evil illuminati puppet hellbend on global destruction. Many rich people actually do give back. In a purely capitalistic society disadvantaged people are helped by altruistic rich people. Having a government come in and regulate people's income, and forcefully tax people at gunpoint is a recipe for disaster.

i dont think its ever happened before especially not in america

:pachaha:I'm sure this has been true when America has been at its most capitalistic.

Yeah I guess you've never heard of Oprah, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, and all of those other rich people giving away millions to charities and various other social causes.

Yeah I guess you've never heard of the fact that despite these "millions" government-funded social welfare & medical research is still necessary. Man, if only government would get out of the way, I could give more of my wealth away!:bryan:Take us to when America was at its most capitalistic even and see if anything you're saying is true.:lolbron:
