What is this "he" shyt like he was even the main reason why they won? That Spurs team was lighting the Heat up to the tune of 52% from the field. nikkas act like Kawhi outplayed Bron or some shyt.
He did. Let me guess, “but but lebron’s stats, no help, blah blah blah.”

Fair enough.. just so we are all clear, LeBron and the Cavs were a heavy favorite in betting lines against the 2010 version of the Celtics and all the analysts were picking them too.

I want to make sure we are remembering all this.

Kawhi definitely deserves some blame i don't think it really diminishes his two MVPs tho
I think Kawhi shytting the bed is worse. Bron shytting the bed is more comparable to Giannis. nikkas can say Bron was the best in the 09/10, but Kobe was out here winning back to back chips.

But Klaw is a 2x Finals MVP and the Clippers had apparently already won the championship

He wasn't 4-21 in his final 2 2nd halfs either...

“yes I am giving Kawhi a pass..he had a bad game for a guy thats a legend status..this isn’t his 10th harden game..this’s somebody who carried a franchise by himself and absolutely diced up the heat becoming a superstar”- Bill Simmons podcast

this's the type of revisionist shyt thats being said about Kawhi like it's a known fact.

He was a role player in his 1st FMVP, the Spurs as a team, and POP, deserve the award.

Kawhi earned the 2nd FMVP. however he didn't carry the raptors. the team had 5 other players who averaged double digits in scoring against undermanned Warriors team.

beside, the Heat this year proved that stopping (a better) Giannis and the Bucks is possible if not easy in the playoffs. that made the raptors performance last year less impressive.

Nope.

Spurs don't ring without him

Raptors don't ring without him

No doubt he choked in the clippers series but no doubt he came up big in two finals when he had to
thats very low standards for a superstar:patrice:

imagine praising Kobe by saying "Lakers don't wing a ring in 2009 without Kobe"

Kawhi is a very unique case. Yes you have his few fans that may sing his praises but let's be honest, there really ain't many Kawhi fans out there. Dude kinda gets marginalized during the regular season as the best player for the likes of Giannis and to a lesser extent even Harden at certain parts of the season. Let one person say his midrange game reminds them of MJ and we gotta take it to the extreme. "nikkas comparing him to MJ tho??!!!" :comeon: Dude even finished on the All NBA second team THIS year lol. Yet it seems the criticism and/or disappointment is much stronger for him than those guys who have failed much worse and on a more consistent basis. Giannis himself was even considered by many ppl, Bron fans included to be his successor or arguably even better and he has failed worse than Kahwi. Yet the smoke ain't quite the same.....seems more personal with Kawhi. I wonder why :jbhmm:

Ok let’s do Lebron now

2012 - A stacked Miami team beat a young inexperienced OKC squad

2013- Had to be saved by Ray Allen from losing

2016- Kyrie averaged 28ppg, including the biggest shot in Finals history
Took him 3 yrs to even touch the playoffs

melo was on his 3rd by the time Lebron got to his first

Melo deserve co mvp

you really think Kawhi got more criticism than Lebron and Giannis? :gucci::dwillhuh: who got more personal with Kawhi?

shyt, Paul George is getting shytted on a lot more than Kawhi. which is not usually the case with the 2nd stars.

I don't think hes received more than Lebron which is why I left him out of that specific part of my point. And PG brought this on himself he coined Playoff P so he gonna get the smoke that he opened himself up to.

Kawhi dont say shyt, dont talk shyt, everybody talks for him it seems, he just plays ball. Both Giannis and Kawhi had been compared to Lebron and ppl have said they were both better than Lebron at different parts of the season.Yet when it counts Giannis has come up shorter and has actually never won. Yet Kawhi who has actually won and was never given the best player in the world title save for very very few , is getting more smoke than Giannis who ppl accepted may be better than Lebron. Just something I noticed :yeshrug:

I keep seeing people trying to make this into an isolated incident or the first time this has happened with him. It's not. 2015, coming off a chip and Finals MVP, Kahwi and the Spurs were up 3-2 on the Clippers of all teams. Looked like they were on a collision course with GSW. What happened? Kawhi disappears in games 6 and 7 and they lose two close games and get bounced in the first round by, once again, the Clippers of all teams. Even last year in the Finals there was a clear drop off once they went up 3-1. It seems like every time those expectations spike, his performance drops.

Kawhi is worth of the praise that he has been receiving for most of his career and especially the hype he has gotten since last season. But most greats go through times in the postseason where either they or the team they on fails to deliver when the stakes are highest. Doesn't mean he isn't a great player and doesn't mean the Clippers won't eventually right their ship and actually deliver on the promise they had coming into the season. They have time as long as everyone is committed to staying there and as long as they tinker and add a piece here or there.
