Should I try watching "Lost"?

It isn’t trash but the ending made it worthless to watch
The first season was good, but it became clear the writers had no idea what to do with the story after that.
They basically admitted to it some recent magazine article.
The whole story with Michael and his son was problematic.

Oh.. yeah but there’s classic episodes… after s1… so I can’t call it trash… it was ok for the time.. but we got better shows now

I disagree. IMO it's still worth watching to experience some things that are rather rare in television today. First off it's shot on location in Hawaii, there are virtually no green screens, and it looks beautiful. Second: not only is there an ensemble cast, each character stands out and is written in a complex, multi faceted way. Speaking of writing, it's really good. Themes, references, call backs, etc. The way characters are introduced, the way character's pasts are revealed, the way twists are written etc are often done really well.



This type of introduction, with brisk pacing and simple yet effective dialogue, almost feels foreign now in the age of poorly written streaming slop.
