I had seen on dudes website what looked like

12 work sessions for $260 or whatever it was ...

I’m down to do some shyt like that , where I buy a block of work outs and go from there , 12 work outs twice a week for 6 weeks and I’m good

The whole commenting to a certain time frame
Is what got me kinda ehhh on the situation , I might tell him that and he what he says
If you don’t specific in gym goals you might want to look into small group classes (like someone said) or boot camp type classes. Probably a better bang for the overall buck.

Breh..if you have a gym that offers a free gym session when signing up, use that to focus on the big 3 lifts...

Learn the proper form and maybe you can record yaself doing it...

Unless you getting a trainer who gonna give you a hour session, you gonna have to lock yaself in and do for self...

If your PT doesn't start at 1 hour, its not worth it. A proper warm up would eat almost half of that 30 mins, tbh.
Man I do whole workouts in ~40 minutes. You don't need a ton of warm up

But I have a strong feeling this PT is bullshyt. They usually are. If OP wants to transform he needs a top to bottom plan. Lifting, cardio, diet

Yeah you could work out in 30-40 mins, but like the great Evander Holyfield said, "it's easier to maintain than to regain." If you're fresh off the couch, then those 30 min workouts are just a hustle thats gonna keep the PT in your pockets for "extra" sessions. If you're already in shape, then you're absolutely right, a nice 45 min workout is sufficient.

I'm not maintaining, I'm gaining :damn:

Gains come from doing more than you did the last time... more reps in a set or more weight on the bar. Don't need a lot of time to do that no matter where you are in the fitness journey.

Fitness industry makes things complicated to keep people financially looped. People can do it on their own

No. You can do something very simple yourself for 30 Mins a few times a week.

If you have the extra cash to spend, getting w/ a Registered Dietitian (imo) is a better bang for your buck.

Diet trumps exercise 99/100 when it comes to weight loss.

A solid Diet plus a few walk/run sessions along w/ some push ups and bw squats is all you really need to get started.

As you progress and get the diet thing down adding a gym membership to add more weight training to your regiment would be a solid path to take.

30 minute workout plans

Then there’s a 12 month contract but I don’t wanna commit to paying that long

HELL NO !!!!!!!!!

personal trainers are for middle aged women who don't know their way around a gym

Get one of your buddies to join the gym and schedule workouts with him. You will motivated each other and keep each other honest. If you don't have a friend who can join, get an exercise book.......design a program based on your goals and the modern machines/equipment at the gym.

Sucks for you bruh

I was lucky. Had a dude at work who was heavy into powerlifting/pulls ups. Had a squad and all

He would charge me 25 for like 90 minutes. Then went on my own after like a year.

But with all these videos and instagram. No need for a legit trainer. Buddy up with someone who know form and is serious. Saves you so much money

I can't believe people still use personal trainers. You shouldn't be using one unless you're coming off a serious injury, training for a competition, or have a dumb amount of money burning a hole in your pocket and would rather pay someone to put together a workout program for you rather than researching yourself.

You're looking to "shed some weight and get some muscle" so google a good muscle building routine and cut down on the carbs/sugars. Yall out here trying to talk yourself into paying rent prices for a months worth of a simple 4x8 lifting routine. :mjlol:

It's that simple but it's not at the same time.
