No. Eb games, gamesstop, etc are not a futureproof business at all.

Its like buying Blockbuster.

Most gamers download games. Yeah some like physical copies but the future of gaming is constant online, vc, streaming, downloaded over physical

Really bad idea imo

Why buy a dying business? :gucci:

When Gamestop falls...I will celebrate

The thought of having a one stop place for all your gaming and side hobby needs was a novel idea....25 years ago

Now this disgusting beast, who has the nerve to offer you $5 trade in for a game you paid $60 for....now it MUST die :camby:

fukk game stop
When they die i will throw a party. I was a loyal customer in the early 00 but the past 10 years they are joke. Terrible trade in and shyt customer service. I buy my games from Amazon or best buy now. :pacspit:

So no one read the article

Lmao I remember when I was super young I couldn’t work so I traded in all of my old ps1 games to get some ps2 games.

Deadass I sold at least 50 games and only got back $100. I regret it so much because I could be playing those shyts today.

What does the store room space look like for mall gamestops:patrice:

Even if people order stuff they won't pick it up and eventually the place will get packed.

That's why i saying K-Marts would make more sense. And you don't have to buy out an entire company to do it.

Yes they should and i'm gonna keep saying this in every Gamestop thread....all they need to do is bridge the gap between physical and digital. Games on some type of propriety thumb drives with fast throughput of data that you could insert into a hub with internet access would effectively make games(and movies too) both online and offline products. Offer a trade in deal to replace disc copies for this new standard and it's a print money move if done right.

Amazon has the money to make such a thing reality so i'm all for it under that model.
