Should AEW Bring In The Trios Titles Or A Secondary Tag Team Championship??

I agree with the overcrowded roster. But if that Young Bucks/ Jurassic Express match would’ve been for the TNT Tag Titles, how much more would we have cared about it

a helluva lot more actually.

and truth be told, the best tag match last night was the pre-show jawn. private party against the dark order b-team.
wouldve been more interesting if a potential TNT tag title match was a possibility for the winner. but instead, nobody even acknowledges the existence of that match.

2) not one star has been made by this company way over a year

if they do a six man title it needs to be taken very seriously.

it doesn't work for me as a secondary tag title like in NJPW.

i wouldn't be mad if they did a yearly trios tourney though. jack it since chikara is out of business now.

well the 6-man tag titles are 3rd rate in NJPW behind the junior heavyweight tag titles.

plus they have alot more singles titles.

There's a ton of trios match ups you could make.....and I'd rather watch more 6 mans than all those damn 8/10/12 man tags that they have every week on Dynamite.

But honestly....once Kenny and Page are officially done tagging...that'll make the tag division more of an actual division than a "storyline division" so it'll open up more opportunities for teams like P&P to not look so midcardish and seem like the bigger deals that they actually are.

So a trios belt may not be necessary.

A trios title would be cool. Don't know if they have enough talent for that but I guess a mix of tag and trios teams would help. Can use already established teams and newly created teams. Would create some new and interesting matchups. I don't think a championship matters tho. There is no wrestler on any promotion who my opinion of would change depending on whether or not they have a championship. Championships are pointless in a scripted sport.

I mentioned earlier they have several teams that could be trios (inner circle, Jurassic Express, death triangle, the elite, the nightmare family, best friends and OC, Dark Order, SCU.

those are just teams already with three members that aren’t really in the tag division scene. There are plenty of combinations within that to have a Trios division, let alone if you start pairing other people (Party Hardy was mentioned, Janela, Kiss and someone else, Cage, Starks and someone else etc.)


The argument for title bloat is silly. In wrestling none of the matches mean anything, it’s all fake anyway. Might as well add more divisions so you don’t have completely pointless matches with zero motivation from the wrestlers other than just putting one over the other

They need to keep slowly building the roster, that's it. They barely have enough tag teams as it is, and the ones they do have, they haven't made to appear strong enough. They to learn to get a small number of guys over hard, instead of trying to make everyone look good.
