Yeah but this is not some beef between sets that extends back thru history, in the dope game waiting to retaliate over getting licked for ur shyt tells everybody else you are a lick.

my dude....
i'm not painting a picture of them orchestrating a counterattack way after the fact.
i'm talking about nikkas finally finding an opportunity to get back at you cuz its been "2 years" and maybe you forgot about the finesse and you out there in the open...
and the score aint never been settled.
I think if whoever had the opportunity - whether its 2 hours or 2 years - they gonna strike when the opening is there.
and in the dope game its principle over paper and there is no expiration date on that.

If they was a Black group from the historically Black parts of LA that OTs know by name then they would’ve prolly blown up way more imo.

They got some tunes but they cater best to that posh trapper/Black skater type crowd. I’m surprised they ain’t do more work with Detroit artists, their sound works well with Detroit’s.

You mean the BAY - their sound is super super super bay area influenced.

Bay sounds got more piano riffs and funk bass
Detroit got more strings and 808 hits

Somebody in here already talked about how they passed SOB - a bay area group - comparable not only cuz they are a group but also cuz of the sound.

Norfeast groovin…
Not pretending my opinion reflects general consensus but because ohgeesy is their most visible member and looks like andy milonarkis i never peeped their sh't cos i assumed they were some rebore party mumble rap group

turns out, sh't is different :ehh:

I thought the same shyt. I think I found out about them because Geezy got a song with J.Stone and Shoreline got a joint with ALLBLACK that I fukked with too.

Definitely bring more to the table than some mumble shyt. The only thing that slightly irked me is how freely OhGeezy just be sayin nikka. Might be cool in LA but in other places it might not work as well. :ld:

Detroit owes a good deal of its sound to the Bay as well but you right. Shoreline definitely took cues from the Bay, their sound isn’t as LA as other LA acts. In comparison G Perico is a LA sounding artist, same with Polyester the Saint.

They better as a group but tbh I don’t think they did enough as a group to reach that full potential as Shoreline. Three 6 had achieved a lot by the time they broke up, same with the Hot Boy$, just feels like they leaving shyt on the table.

Besides, it’s not like you can’t do solo shyt and still be part of a group. Oh well, fukk it. :ehh:
They do a lot of shyt with Detroit rappers. Fenix got a project with GT called LA Pistons.

Like 4real 4real i thought they was from the bay when they first came out no bullsh-t.
especially with their ethnic makeup- armenians and blacks and hispanics all together, thats SO bay area - all they were missing was a vietnamese and filipino nikka.
plus with a name like "Shoreline" hella other people thought they was from the bay cuz lots of places are called shoreline around SF/Oakland

and you are absolutely right Detroit and the Bay have a relationship/connection which has become stronger as the Bay/Kansas City connection has faded over time- which is a generational thing.

LA and Bay west coast sounds have some similarities but they also have HUGE differences.
Casio = LA
Roland = the Bay

I'm oversimplifying but you get what I'm saying

Unfortunately - even the San Fernando Valley clicks getting more active.
I'm not glorifying none of this cuz its all negative for the black n brown.
On one hand Shoreline has always had a mix of affiliates.....
on the other hand the sh-t they be talking attracts the wrong type of energy and those TYB cartel dudes are CLEARLY not rappers.
Not even trying to knock them but they say themselves (over and over) they aint really trying to rap and everything they talk about is NO CAP ....
so basically these dudes just banging and using music/video to spread the message.

Yeah I be tryna tell nikkas the valley can get active low key. I watched some TYB videos then nikkas look corny as fukk :mjlol:

RIP to the breh though too many nikkas getting killed it’s like every week at this point.
