they been together for 5 plus years now,
and geesy and fenix are fathers now

they probably felt they reached the peak already
they had a movement, signed a deal, traveled the world off of rap, burnt out from drugs
:ehh:

That’s another way of puttin it. :ehh:

tbh i was surprised not many people on the coli were talking about shoreline, back in 2018 hardly saw any talk about them in the booth section

If they was a Black group from the historically Black parts of LA that OTs know by name then they would’ve prolly blown up way more imo.

They got some tunes but they cater best to that posh trapper/Black skater type crowd. I’m surprised they ain’t do more work with Detroit artists, their sound works well with Detroit’s.

Shoreline lowkey puts up number though, very quietly one of the hottest groups. They passed SOB a long time ago

Then I wonder what stopped them. They prolly was just too burned out. Cuz they definitely got some songs and the diverse grouping to be marketable to a vast audience. Not sure if it was a label failure or something on their part.

Just feels like they should be bigger than they are but they aren’t. It’s kinda odd.

the good thing about shoreline i guess was the swag and the trapper aesthetic mixed together with a bunch of black brown and whites, they had hella people in the crew

i saw them perform when they came out here to london, probs top 5 shows for me

That was actually one of the things I found most impressive. For some cats not coming out of the big name LA cities and representing a different demographic they did a great job of portraying it. That and the music was good and played to a particular vibe.

Na
Fenix is the better rapper to me. But he’s Armenian and I think Atlantic really wants to invest in just OhGeesy and cake off the fact he’s Hispanic.

But without all the “homies” the other members provided, I can see it getting tougher for OhGeesy to move around comfortably and drop the N word which he loves to do.
Sixnine did it just fine

Unfortunately
