God damn RIP. Digital Underground was one of my first groups I stanned. Spending a couple of summers out in Cali probably was a big factor. Sad for him to pass so young.

5 years ago, when the warriors were about to lose to the thunder in the playoffs, I went to see the Miles Davis biopic in Berkeley at the Shattuck theaters. I went to get popcorn and it was just Shock and me in line. He broke down the science of how to ask for your popcorn so you don’t get any unpopped kernels. He was mad down to earth, I would’ve asked him to take a pic, but I had just smashed my phone screen and didn’t want to look like a bum. RIP to a legend.
