all these fights were pretty good to me tonight, a few quick thoughts:
figuroa did what he had to do- push the gas if the fight is in question. estrada probably salty right now though.
happy for anthony dirrell, but you can tell he and bika don't like each other lol dirrell came out with murderous intentions. fight was sloppy initially, but their styles aren't made for each other. once dirrell settled down, he took control- i think he started off wrong trying to compensate for fading in the 1st fight, but realized he didn't need to that- just box a clean fight- cause age may have caught up with bika. i thought the ref was too involved in this fight from the jump. didn't think bika should have lost a point.
congrats to kell brook, i do think he did enough to lift that belt off porter. it seemed like once porter couldn't blitz kell out quickly like he did paulie, he had no other strategy. then when that stiff jab and right hands started landing- porter even retreated somewhat.
i kinda don't want kell to fight amir khan immediately just cause amir was so dismissive of him. amir been talking too recklessly to not have done anything major at 147 yet. make him wait and tell him up to get his weight up- you snatched a belt before him. wouldn't mind seeing him vs thurman- would be a good matchup i think.
