Yeah, it doesn't have to be "Suits" but lets have more court cases that connect. Like Matt mentioning the Sokovia accords felt like it had some weight to it. If we get to a Civil War 2, which would look more like the origonal comic these court cases could get pretty tense.
I don’t even mean in terms of court cases. After 20 years, there are plenty of dangling plot threads or left over characters.

Instead of going from scratch trying to make us care about Mr Immortal. We already knew what training to be a sorcerer was because we saw it in DrS 1. So Donny Blaze had a foundation to build off of and Wong coming in.

So like use the Widow from Hawkeye going through a divorce and trying to get joint custody while being a deadly weapon. I don’t really need stuff to build up to the next event. I just want to care about the cases she’s trying to solve.

Overall this show was just there. I didn't mind any of their commentary on the projected internet feedback, that angle was actually good. It didn't take itself too seriously, but then tried to take itself too seriously at points.

see that's just it... by going overboard on the push back to potential criticisms.. the show actually takes itself way too seriously while suggesting it isn't... :mjlol:

It’s a marketing strategy that trumps any semblance of plot or thematic consistency.

That's exactly what they're doing though.

Disney is calling upon Marvel (the only thing subcribers REALLY care about) to become a content mill. That requires them to delve into different genres/niches like they did here. I said from the jump that the D+ shows are going to actually bring the comic book experience to screen where there's issues/episodes, types of characters/books people skip, more self contained stuff with loose connections.

IF they can push their limits on more mature things like Blade and Punisher (they've made some effort but not enough) we'll have MCU content that ranges from being for toddlers to actually acknowleding that a good portion of the audience are grown ups. The movies don't have nearly as much freedom to not be across the board with the writing and substance.
Yeah, while watching Werewolf By Night I thought, "Would a preteen even like this?"

Just seen the finale. Was it ok. Can't lie I did a double take for my remote when the Disney plus scene came on. :heh:

Biggest take away is Hulk having a b*stard son from Sakaar. :mjlol:

I don't know much about Skaar but I remember hearing he's in the comics and is quite a good character.
I loved that part had me thinking I sat on the remote :dead:
