I will say that Gal Gadot and Brie Larson were TERRIBLE choices for their roles. Both just too damn skinny. Especially Gadot for WW.

A lot of projects do this as a shield from criticism.
The playbook is to cultivate an atmosphere of "If you don't like this you're an incel/misogynist/racist" before the show is even released. I noticed it in the promo run for Terminator Dark Fate where James Cameron was sprinkling "Weak men are probably gonna hate this" comments in interviews months before the movie
The meta is: "Every show in existence has haters regardless of audience size. Let's focus on all the negative comments and make headlines out of them. This will cultivate a group of capes that will defend the show from these "incels" and "creeps who hate women" quality of the actual work be damned
Don't forget that just a few months ago when nikkas was appropriately roasting the cgi in the trailer they wasted no time trying to make it a "Y'all hate women" issue but it didn't stick because the cgi is so egregiously badThat should show you how manufactured it is

You’re just dealing with women following men who even argue like women and if you’re critical of a female show/project it’s automatically “you hate women”, “you don’t want to see women because you love men/gay” “incel” etc
They have no interest in good faith discussion. They’ll pretend that Male led and male directed Thor 4 wasn’t ripped apart and scrutinized for being complete trash just a month ago. Doc Strange 2 got blowback for “ruining Scarlet Witch”

Interesting, and it makes sense that we never seen the groom that episode either.
They have an excuse for black widow, as that film seemed like an afterthough. Should have be Her and Hawkeye in budapest, a proper origin story. and released during phase 1.
instead it was a black widow flashback post her death and was mainly just used a way to introduce Yelena's character to the MCU.
