If you take the superhero stuff out (actual fights and feats) this show would practically be the same.

They could prolly have done it all in normal clothes with a female bodybuilder as She Hulk and it would have been just about the same.

the incel argument is so dumb :mjlol:
What a time. The show just isn't that funny... couple hits here and there. Mostly misses :ld:
its annoying but its also easy marketing :manny:

this show couldnt have come out at a better time with Andrew Tate getting banned off social media and the year being a witchhunt on "male-led podcasts"

I think I seen somewhere that Tatianna is also helping produce the show to a degree so I can imagine the female-heavy ideas are also coming from her. Tatianna was also a huge pusher for getting Megan The Stallion on the show

I heard season 2 is gonna be called They-Hulk. She teams up with her non-binary cousin to fight Kang.
Also btw, low key my prediction came true.
They had a trans breh play the bride in the wedding episode.

That's kind of the point of expanding the MCU and going into different genres. People complained about Marvel being too cookie cutter, too safe, too much of an advertisment for the next project, not enough self contained stories, not giving directors/show runners autonomy to create unique spins and projects with the IP.

Now the bytching is centered everything feeling too different and disconnected.

i think this show is, not completely, but manufacturing a lot of the "incel" stuff. by no means am i sticking up for those stupid fukks, but i genuinely don't even know what their beef would be. woman bad? is that it? there's nothing for those jackasses to be racist or homophobic about. it's just a lady who gets strong. legit think they anticipated much more than they've actually gotten and since they can break the fourth wall and call it out, eveyone is doing some "yassss" bullshyt when in reality i'm not even sure how many people they're actually talking directly to. i don't even know how big the audience is. there's no buzz for this show.
A lot of projects do this as a shield from criticism.

The playbook is to cultivate an atmosphere of "If you don't like this you're an incel/misogynist/racist" before the show is even released. I noticed it in the promo run for Terminator Dark Fate where James Cameron was sprinkling "Weak men are probably gonna hate this" comments in interviews months before the movie

The meta is: "Every show in existence has haters regardless of audience size. Let's focus on all the negative comments and make headlines out of them. This will cultivate a group of capes that will defend the show from these "incels" and "creeps who hate women" quality of the actual work be damned

Don't forget that just a few months ago when nikkas was appropriately roasting the cgi in the trailer they wasted no time trying to make it a "Y'all hate women" issue but it didn't stick because the cgi is so egregiously bad:mjlol: That should show you how manufactured it is

Also find it interesting that non of these incels were around during Wandavision :mjlol: maybe it's because they actually thought that show was a good piece of work?(except for the last episode but I digress:snoop:). Like it's so inconceivable to nikkas that maybe they think the show is trash:mjlol:

And yea that "this is bad but I'm breaking the 4th wall to let you know I KNOW it's bad" is a terrible, lazy trope

Nah this excuse is too common and it ain't completely true

If you make chicken alfredo everyday then nikkas say "I'm tired of alfredo" so you make spaghetti you can't get mad at nikkas if they say your spaghetti is bad:russ:

"DAMN I TRIED SOMETHING DIFFERENT AND YOU HATIN:damn:" ain't a good enough excuse for bad work

These shows and movies ain't taking much more of a chance than Wandavision and nikkas didn't trash that:manny:

One of the major problems here is the "chances" are fake. They're selling you on the premise of doing something ambitious then the product they give you is neutered and just as cookie cutter as anything else. I've mentioned this with Loki where the trailer had you thinking you were getting some Quantum Leap time travel fukkery and the final product was wack as hell

Same with Multiverse of Madness shaping up to be some absolutely FUKKERY then the actual movie is Strange babysitting a kid that could've been a box + watered down Wandavision

A lot of people were excited at the premise of She Hulk but the execution is leaving a lot to be desired

The work is just bad:manny:

Nah, objectively Marvel went from being criticized for being formulaic and made by committee to 3 big name award winning directors having much more autonomy to do their own projects only for people to want that old thing back. And it ain't just about quality because it's plenty worse moves in Marvels back catalog, it's about it being different.

Outside of Wandavision, Eternals is my favorite phase 4 project and I enjoyed MOM a lot, couldn't take my eyes off the screen but for a lot of people it was "too Rami".

Plenty of people shyt on WV, on here and elsewhere but again, that's subjective. Loki was well recieved but here you are saying it was wack as hell because you expected quantum leap but didn't get it

The premise laid out for She-Hulk ahead of time was literally Alley Mcbeal with Marvel characters...

If you read/heard that, know anything about the character, got excited about it and have been watching the show, that's exactly what it is. Take out the super-hero shyt and it would be the same show, I say that's a GOOD thing.
