she's right but people will pour in to say this gen is soft even though many are using one of the many forms of escape available to us to distract us from this reality.

:manny:
She IS soft :gucci: I think we can all agree it sucks. That's not a point of contention. You ain't gon see too many people literally crying about it tho.

For the majority of ALL people, there is no getting what you want without putting in the work to get it.

Do what you can until you are able to do what you want. Start at that menial job and sacrifice spending and going out 3 times a week and instead focus on what you love, put money and time into that. Build it up and then when it surpasses those menial jobs, do it full time.

shyt ain't rocket science. These mfers are just lazy and like to hear themselves complain.

It's almost like you should develop skills and knowledge to not have to work dead end jobs that pay nothing and give zero time off
I didn't hear shyt about money. She seems like the type living cushy as hell off her job PLUS her parents. Her issue is time lost.

To keep it a buck, she’s 100 percent right. The current work model doesn’t work in todays society for the most part. I got this off a yahoo story, and the boomers and Gen X comments were shytting on her.

They were told to work hard all your life then retire and relax. Don’t nobody want to waste decades of time working to pay bills, then live out the final 20 years thinking back on all the shyt they missed out on or tying to do all the things they wanted to do in their 20’s and 30’s but couldn’t.

It’s why there’s a mental and physical health epidemic in this country. It’s why drug use is at an all time high.

And to top it off, the money you don’t make doesn’t take you that far. You legit gotta make 100k in most metropolitan areas just to live comfortably.

Younger people are realizing, that 9-5 shyt is bullshyt. I didn’t realize it until I was in my 30’s. And that’s not including layoffs.

I'm not saying there are not people who have it worse, like homeless people or people living in the projects...but I still feel for her.

You should definitely have a job where you have enough time to make your own food, shower and exercise.

Plus everyone needs SOMEfree time for positive mental health purposes

gen z isn't soft, they just don't see the point, like work until you're old and physically and mentally can't do much, in my humble opinion that doesn't make sense to me, especially in modern times with all this technology, basically there are more and more jobs you can do from home

one of my cousins was working constantly and didn't have energy for ANYTHING, now she recently got a work from home job and she's doing better already

I think the younger gen just sees through the bs

I don't think this particular chick is a Karen per se, hopefully she finds better employment

There are loopholes to working a 9-5......meeting late, leaving early, taking long breaks or just calling in sick. most people can't stand their jobs and people hope something comes through the door that will save them.....eternal clockwatchers making the hours go by with day dreaming :wow:

the :flabbynsick: always been hating on the younger people....reality is that gen z is going to be one of the best educated group of people in history with the worst future outlook in a long time....thats why the birthrate is going to fall because nobody can afford anything.

She's not right. Somehow, in some magical way, the majority of the rest of able bodied working individuals have a perfectly normal and fulfilling life. We go to the gym, we cook dinner, we hang out, we go on vacations etc. She is soft. She is a white woman. A young white woman. This world is made with her specifically in mind. If this bytch cant make it working a regular ass 9-5, she wouldve gotten picked off at the watering hole staring at her reflection if not for simps saying "she's right". She's complaining about how other people manage to do something she cant fathom being capable of doing. Its called work. Do that. Be good at it. Good enough to leverage your earnings. Then you can make enough to live in the city and not have to commute. So when you get off at 5, youre actually off. Or be good enough that you can leave at 3 or 4 to get home in time. Get up early and go to the gym or go after work. Not that hard. Its actually better and more convenient. But she lazy. She dont want to get up. She'll complain about how much time is wasted but I bet she spends HOURS on Tiktok scrolling. Time better suited elsewhere. But that...would require effort. The bane of lazy folks.

Imagine doing all that, saving ~20% of your paycheck, etc. sacrificing like crazy: only have 2-3 hours of your day at a time.

Then you or your loved ones get sick all for medical bills to wipe it out and start over.

Plus again, all those immigrants coming over with big degrees now with an international accreditation that has been inspected by a 3rd party so even more competition. Additionally, they went to school for free in their country so no student loans. They got the same degree as you, but every dollar can go into saving and working for them off the bat.

It's harder now than it ever has been to draw even, much less get ahead yet people keep applying to same old school rules and 1990's salaries.
