Would have been a disaster for many of the reasons listed above:

He would have been a cancer in the locker room. He was almost impossible to contain with Vince in charge, him in the WCW locker room that was already being run by the inmates and mixed with Hogan/Macho/Piper/Flair shyt.....a catastrophe waiting to happen.

What set him apart in the WWF was being done by any of 30 random cruiserweights on every show, not to mention the Malenko/Rey/Benoit/Guerrero tier of guys.

He never would have had the long matches he loved, he never would have had real storylines, his drug usage would have gone unchecked.

He probably would have overdosed tbh.

Pretty much all of this. People forget about the problems Bischoff had with X-Pac...could you imagine it with Shawn during that time?

as far as raping WCW goes, yea HBK would've got the biggest contract of his career, but he would've got all types of exposed.

I disagree with the Bret Slander however Vince held Crosseyed Kid over like he did Hulk and it wouldn't have transitioned well in WCW because there was talent like Benoit, Malenko, Rey, Eddie, Goldberg, Steiner bros, Ravens flock and WCW Booker T that would've made him look like utter trash in the ring. There's reasons why Crosseyed kid only took specific matches against mostly technical and heavyweight wrestlers to dominate him and make him look like the underdog then hit the cockeyed music outta nowhere. He wouldn't even look good against an older AJ Styles which is why he declined it. RVD had that man looking like trash during the crossover. Bret really was a rare talent that made every match and all his opponents look good which is why he is on the GOAT of mount Rushmore. If he didn't suffer from that kick, crowds would've loved him but he didn't have a storyline written for him and still played a dope heel.

Hulk and Crosseyed fakkit were Vince's orgasms. Something about blonde haired feminine white guys was his ultimate dream. I think he's switching over to the tall dark and lovely wannabe black guys like Reigns, Cena and McIntired.
