I had this convo with my mom. If I was suddenly not able to enjoy motion the way I used to, being able to pick things up or more around the same way, I would prefer the accident kill me. I might feel differently if I have kids.

When people say “in sickness” they should be thinking of worst case scenarios.

If you can’t be committed to taking care of a paralyzed spouse for many many years, you shouldn’t marry that person.
