So Cal
I had this convo with my mom. If I was suddenly not able to enjoy motion the way I used to, being able to pick things up or more around the same way, I would prefer the accident kill me. I might feel differently if I have kids.
Same when you have kids/a spouse it's not all about you, but if I'm single and childless its gonna be a no from me dawg

People be putting their lives on the line with them bikes man. Not removing blame from the driver but I wouldn't risk it. They move too slow to be out there with cars and shyt. And no protection
Biking is a religion to them, very similar to those morning jogs people do at 4am in the dark. You cant dissuade them with reason.

It was actually a typo. I fixed the comment and yes it’s related to your comment since you brought up the fact that you can’t “dissuade them with reason”. That’s why I made that comment.
Got you. I seriously Read that a few times, sitting here trying to decipher the matrix:pachaha:

I hear what you saying. But both motorcyclists and cyclist are in a futile battle. Its an inherently dangerous activity. Policing cars in their environment is very similar to you walking through the jungle and trying to police a tiger. Yes its wrong that the tiger will eat you; and you certainly dont deserve to be eaten by a tiger , but the wisest thing for you to do in that scenario is to simply not be in that jungle.:hubie:

I do like the European solution tho. A coliBreh introduced me to a youtube channel that only covers city infrastructure. And yes, I know its weird topic to start a channel for. But the dude has millions of subscribers. Anyway, this channel documented a cool fix that Germany and the Netherlands were doing for their cities. They effectively created whole roads purely for cyclists with no connection to the road used by cars.

It pretty much eliminated their bicycle related vehicular homicide rate. And it actually decreased the amount of vehicles in their major cities because biking became attractive (and safe) . It also helps that these roads ran parallel to major thoroughfares or often had their own streets, kinda like how US cities have one way roads separate from normal ones.:ohhh:

But it would be a hard sell to bring it here to the US, knowing how stingy our congressmen are on infrastructure. :francis:

That's wild. Def one of my biggest fears. On another note. I got a homie who is paralyzed from the waist down and he get more p*ssy than most dudes. I give hella props to homie. Cause i'd prolly be ready to take my life and this happened to him at like 17 he's 39 now.

Paralysis is my only true inner fear. But not waist down. I could handle that. Neck down though? An absolute nightmare. What makes it so much worse for me is that you couldn't kill yourself even if you wanted :damn:

Yeah Europe and Asia are miles ahead on the US on this. But we have generally smaller areas to cross and less gas/oil lobbying since we don’t produce our own.

The only place I know that has that type of infrastructure the poster just shows is the west side of Manhattan and the few giant boulevards you see in some of the boroughs
