Shattered Dreams: Start off optimistic and ambitious about life, end up just getting by.

yeah i hear ya man.

i lived life fully. got myself a ton of life experience. but now i'm thinking if i shoulda just focused on a boring ass job and working my way up instead of living life full of crazy stories.

I've always felt like I played the middle line between doing some wild shyt but nothing too ignorant and working jobs but never getting an education or a career. I wish I would have just chose one or the other and committed, because basically I didn't accomplish anything substantial on either side, and now I'm 27 basically starting an adult life from scratch.

I've never really lost confidence in myself though, and I'm finally making the right moves to achieve some of what I want to achieve so I'm in a good space right now.

I feel you dog, what scares me especially as a black man. A job aint promised and you're definitely not going to stay on a job for 20 years and retire. No pensions for most of us. Just looking at the numbers, a lot of people will be jobless in the future. Our country doesn't build anything and the population is growing.

Then make smart financial moves when you are working. Some people work to buy shyt they don't need instead of setting up their financial future. If you stack enough when you're younger, you could be living off the interest of your investments when you're older if you do it right.

I'm ambitious and optimistic about life but because I'm learning to be smarter with my finances and having money gives you the option to live out your dreams.
