Right. like even ignoring the CP comparisons...

Who the fukk cares you can drop a toothbrush on Tattooie and it'll be there when you go back to scan some more rocks??? Thats really worth that horrid outdated engine?
It’s fine if you don’t care about it.

But the two games are doing very different things technically.

If we are gonna compare the games, we have be honest about what’s going on under the hood.

Starifield is simulating, stars, moons, orbits and even the slight tilts of planets when you are outside, also physical items are persistent. You can drop any item, anywhere in the universe and that item will be there when you come back. It also has A.I. that has routine behavior. I.E. going to work in the morning and coming back home at night. Therefore transitioning from outside to inside has a whole different set a parameters that have to load

Contrasted with Cyberpunk, it’s doing none of that, and has very few buildings you can actually enter. It’s all streamed as you move around cause the few indoor environments in the game aren’t any different technically than the whats going on outside.

Both games are doing very different things. The comparisons are asinine at this point. Just some of you pushing agendas for attention. Same way they did Cyberpunk at launch comparing it to GTA…a very different game:smh:

Yeah, like i said, the idea of that was novel in like 2008, but its 2023, there are other priorities that need to be accounted for instead of clinging to this one thing that doesn’t actively improve the gameplay experience.

When Cyberpunk came out, the fact that it didn’t have persistent items and A.I. were used to attack it.

Now y’all saying none of that stuff matters.

Crazy how opinions and standards change based on whatever you are stanning at the moment.

And what people are saying is the things starfield is doing technically are not adding much to the experience.

You talking about the tilt of planets and item permeance when there aren't even traversal vehicles for these huge ass planets :dead: These marks was focused on all the wrong shyt making this

You people(sony stan’s) are. Lots of people enjoy the detailed simulation starfield offers.

Good thing we have lots of different games to chose from :ehh:

If they put a car in the game, they’d also have to put roads on random ass planets for you to drive on.

If/when humans ever explore the universe, a working jet pack will be way more valuable and useable than a car.

We seen the mars rover in real time, it was stuck in one place cause it couldn’t explore the martian terrain efficiently.

A car in starfiled would do nothing but make the devs put more empty space and roads, in between points of interest.

This isn’t true, I’d bet there are more buildings you can enter than starfield

You can’t keep bragging about “dropping a potato and coming back 45 hours later and seeing it in the same place” if the rest of the game play experience suffers for it.

Cyberpunk has far more actual gameplay mechanics that adds to fun, vehicles and vehicular combat, different play styles, different ways to kill enemies outside of just shooting, swimming, etc.

Cyberpunk proved to me that you can still make FP games fun and cinematic while still retaining really fun gameplay ideas.
Lol this dude hasn’t played Starfield and is acting like he can definitively say CP is more fun.

To be fair let’s compare which games are better at launch and then let’s compare once Starfield has DLC

What other vehicle you gone use?

A hover vehicle would have the same problems as a car. A spaceship needs a landing pad.

The loading screens only exist for going from outside (where all these simulations occur) to inside a building.(where the simulations don’t occur)

again.
If we are gonna compare the games, we have be honest about what’s going on under the hood.
Why are sony stan’s so allergic to having a real conversation about any of this stuff?

It’s obvious different games do very different things to realize their world.

Why can’t we have an honest, mature and informed conversation on how all of this plays out?

Give the game FTL travel but be lost as to how you can utilize vehicles on planets Bethesda dev brehs:bryan:
