So i say all that to say this, not too many ppl are bigger Pac fans than me but the Pac Stans in the buying group and a couple specific project presenters really fukked us on the Death Row/DPG front, we ended sacrificing full sequenced so. Sentrelle album, various DPG Records dats, J-Flexx aftermath songs and Dre references and a bunch of Quik unheard songs, og's and unused instrumentals for the fukking Pac Madonna collab and a supposed better rip of one of the early Thug Life demos which that particular group buy cost over $10K, iirc it was $1000 a song and thats how it ran we had to fund one song at a time and the shyt took like 4 months and then i think it leaked a few days later. fukking madness. I tried so many times to get the higher ups to heed my suggestions to run VIP better, we would have acquired so much more material if we ran multiple projects simultaneously, ppl will throw money down on something new evry 2 or 3 weeks but they're not as likely to keep paying a fee multiple times for 4 months and not even get music in that time.

The changing of the guard fukked us, in our prime we were getting "levels" (which is how the group was structured) finished in like a month or less, we would get like 10-15 projects are year and then when it became primarily Pac related I think one year we did 2 and the 3rd didn't finish until like a couple months into the next year. Its a shame cause we coulda had a landslide of piff.

This...is fukking insane. 2pac superstans are a different breed.

This is sequenced very deliberately and intended to be played front to back. Theres lots of little easter egg style things like for example on track one at the end the last line Kurupt says "see we be doing this every single day" and then track two is "Every Single Day". I mean at the end of the day do what yawl wan't but for optimal listening experience my suggestion would be to roll one up, push play, relax and let it ride.

I tried to make it like a real promo pack like back when artist packets were a common thing to be sent out to radio, mags, media, street team era shyt.
The contents of the collection is a compilation highlighting Nare Dogg, Jewell and Tha Dogg Pound, which I got the idea from The Source issue with them on the cover which a high quality scan of the issue is included here, and also the idea came from an in store play promo record Death Row put out called Rollin With Tha Row and it was a bunch of tracks to promote their current artists and labels.

Rolling With Tha Row - Death Row Records In Store Sampler, Secondary, 4 of 5

also included is 2 1994 promo singles, one from Nate Dogg and one from Jewell and a DGC made edit of 1994 footage of Tha Dogg Pound on tour and being interviewed which was ysed on the documentary The Show. The comp has a PDF booklet with all the credits and some photos in an attempt to make it feel like a real album did back in the physical media days RIP...well, besides the kids spendinh $80 on Griselda vinyls. If ppl enjoy this collection I could be motivated to do more but honestly I think more than half the ppl from when this thread was crackin haven't posted in a couple years, even the thread starter is MIA @1-8-7-Skillz hope you're doing well broski

the upload movin hella slow but its at about 80% now so shouldn't be much longer

If you were able to do this type of thing for the best HQ unreleased Death Row stuff then that would be ideal for the newcomers to finding a lot of this stuff.

Speaking from experience as someone new to trying to hunt down the best of this stuff it’s not clear what the best stuff is that‘s out there. I think if you created a series of these, with an identifiable branding, and uploaded them to Internet Archive, I think they would become the defacto ‘go-to’ for the newbie. Internet Archive really doesn’t have as much as you would initially hope, so I think it’s wide open for this exact type of thing.

While I'm always down to share the majority of the stuff I have access to especially because I enjoy discussing Death Row music, ultimately I put these comps together with as much thought, cohesion and deliberateness because that's how I prefer most to consume music, countless others are feeling the same effects as me but the amount of work I put into this kinda thing on B1 and then just have it erased without warning...I'm like an old farm dog that doesn't have the energy to round up the cattle anymore (maybe this is a bad analogy i dont really know anything about farms)

I will do a more in depth breakdown of what's on this comp so ppl maybe new to the scene know what some of the gems are on here, and I'll drop some cool shyt from time to time, but putting any real in depth work in again like I did in the past, that time consuming kinda stuff I'd honestly have to save for my involvement in the remnants of the buying groups, a lot of us took a wash financially and sacrificed a lot of years building something that was just vaporized with no warning.

I'll say this though in terms of quality, there's nothing on this comp that can be found in better quality anywhere else unless it was acquired the same way I acquired it and if I'm not mistaken Puppy Love 94 og is an unheard, unless someone else from vip lwaked it and im unaware, let alone the fact the tape transfer was done on a Dragon, which if you know anything about those you know they're rare and highly expensive because of the quality transfer they can provide

this one is actually relatively cheap

and the stuff thats sourced from vinyl is professionally transfered as well

1:14 01 As Soon As I Open My Eyes (Intro) - Daz & Kurupt Prod. Daz

this could theoretically be sourced in better quality if someone knew the original source

4:52 02 Every Single Day - Daz, Kurupt, Nate Dogg & Jewell Prod. Daz & Tony Green

i've personally never seen this version in as high quality floating around anywhere else, the common version has Snoop and not Daz and can be found on the Doggy Bag album

5:16 03 Up, Down, Round It Goes - Kurupt Prod. Overdose & Soopafly

most common version of this I see passed around isn't full length and its low bitrate mp3

4:00 04 Big Pimpin (alt #2) - Daz and Nate Dogg f/ Snoop Doggy Dogg & Big Pimpin Delemond Prod. Daz

been around in low q mp3 but unless you were a part pf the FTP private buy group from like 15 years ago you won't have the physical CD to make a rip of this quality (yes kids, back in the day our bootlegs were acquired in physical forms such as CD's and cassettes) and yeah, obviously way different than the soundtrack version

6:19 05 I Won't Tell - Jewell Prod. DJ Quik & G-One

can be found in server leak but this version is longer and lossless

4:55 06 These Reasons (Ruff Mix) - Kurupt Prod. Overdose

different than the Doggy Bag version

5:11 07 After 3 - Lil Bow Wow, Kurupt & Jewell f/ CPO Boss Hogg Prod. Tony Green, Sean Barney Thomas & Dr. Dre

won't find in better q on the common comps

6:18 08 A Kid Named Dave - Lil Bow Wow Prod. Tony Green and Dr. Dre

full version and lossless

5:16 09 What Would You Do (alt #2) - Daz, Kurupt & Jewell f/ Snoop Doggy Dogg & Big Pimpin Delemond Prod. Daz

this one is hard to label cause its one of the alt beats we know but the lyrics are way different

4:42 10 Puppy Love (94 OG) - Daz, Kurupt and Nate Dogg f/ Snoop Doggy Dogg Prod. Daz

I would be curious to know how many ppl even knew that this existed, lyrics and beat are way different than the 1998 version on the Nate Dogg album

3:56 11 Regulate (Jamming Remix) - Nate Dogg f/ Warren G Prod. Warren G & Marcus McAdam

nothing new here, theres just not much 94 Nate Dogg music in lossless Q

4:39 12 Three Wishes (Money, Sex & Weed) - Jewell Prod. DJ Quik & G-One

same as server but lossless

4:37 13 Just Doggin (94 Ruff Mix) - Daz, Kurupt & Nate Dogg Prod. Daz

don't really think theres much diffrence between this and the Sunset Park version but it was on that 94 Daz tape so I included just in case

0:58 14 Drank Anthem (Outro) - Nate Dogg Prod. Warren G.

if you don't have the promo that was only given to radio then you won't have this in this quality

@KingSol81 there's a lossless version of Dr. Dre + Snoop's Zoom OG floating around?
Not floating, my homie sourced it, when it comes to this behind the scenes private buying group shyt theres no one I trust more than him, and were friends ona personal level, like when ppl in our lives die we confide in eachother type friendship, closest road dogg type shyt. Whatever we source individually we share with each other just on some love of the music shyt and trust that the other would never leak it to anyone else, like i paid $300 for a single Kurupt track and had no hesitation sending him a copy as soon as I ripped it, I didn't ask what he paid for Zoom but as soon as he got it he shot me a link, I helped him with all of the VIP projects he headed up and we've had access to each others cloud stprage collections for years.

I'll say this about Zoom though, the fanmade version is lowkey kinda better, not in sound quality obviously but, you know the synths on Zoom? Which to me is the best part of the song, they're not present on the Snoop version, only the LL one, and a fanmade mp3 version by J. Roach or whatever his name is, which if you're not familiar just take my word and stay away from that rabbit hole lol, its just misinformation, straight lies and homemade versions trying to be passed off as og or alt versions...which, you know what, fukk it...

maybe its because I haven't had any canibus yet today and im a little irritable mostly from medical related pain but im gonna drop a secret that I begrudgingly kept for the betterment of VIP so as not to cause a mutiny or one of the many dark ages of the buying group, but since Mr. Neck tattoos fukked off all our hard work, time, effort and money because no matter how many retired Compton killers he might have brushed shoulders with hes still a soft ass bytch (his favorite Pac song is Changes btw, no disrespect but can you pick a more "oh my mom loves that song too" Pac track??)

The OG version of California Love that leaked a few years ago (that VIP had to pay for) not only is it not even the real og version, its not even real, that verse (that most of us said was trash anyways) was a rough version that got scrapped cause it was wack and it got tacked onto the shytty server version of Cali Love, its a fanmade "og" from a scrapped verse that was supposed to be destroyed and just wasn't for whatever raeson.

The real Cali Love og is 3 Dre verses and 2 of them nobody has ever heard. Eat a dicc Mr. Webmaster you greedy nerd cocksucker 4 eyed neck tattoo goofball...aight i'm about to go roll one and get some fresh air and then make another comp lol

Damn I never knew that California Love was a fake  3 Dre verses? I'd be quite interested to hear the real deal. It was cool (the idea was cool anyway) to hear the OG Dre version even if that 2nd verse was wack

I might like to hear that DR/Doggystyle Threat comp

Yeah same, the legit OG is def a grail for me, from my understanding that 3 verse version was being worked on at that point at Dres crib so I think it probably never made it's way to the inventory warehouse for Death Row, our best chance is if J Flexx has cassette dub of some version of it as he wrote the verses.

The J Flexx DR/Afternarh material sounded epic from the snippets we got, and then that "level" got pushed back for I think a video level, which on paper sounded amazing but the final product caused me great vengeance and furious anger...lol, it was all 93-95 live performances and different Death Row concerts etc, in full, and at this time the stuff on YouTube was like such grainy quality you were kinda like ehh, but these were pretty sought after cause it's the performances with live bands and all the back up singers so these sound like completely different songs, like think about some of the clips from MWTC VHS those live performances, so the first thing I'm thinking is damn we'll have the full versions of these and my main thing was I wanted to extract the audio, the level drops and the fukking audio is basically unlistenable in pretty much all the content and the visual "improvement" looked basically like those fanmade remastered videos on YouTube. It was like 4 or 5 thousand dollar level and I just skimmed through everything getting angrier and angrier and then just threw the folder on a drive and never revisited it.

I might like to hear that DR/Doggystyle Threat comp
Honestly I would pick that too, just off the strength of how dope his debut was and he never got a sophomore followi up.

Also, that one might have a couple unheards, the tracks I'm thinking of come from an old, old group buy as bonus material, like it wasn't the main part of the level, I think it was on one the VIP reels levels or something, but yeah to the best of my knowledge the bonus stuff never leaked, I could be wrong but I think theres like a complete unheard record and 2 unheard alt versions.

I'll let a handful of votes come in and then start working on the comp

Gonna drop some random links in the meantime
