Those dudes were 1a and 1b at one point though. It’s valid. Deron hasn’t had the longevity CP has and he fell of. But neither has hardware and to say he wasn’t up there with CP circa 05 is slanderous.

Dude was nice but there’s a reason he didn’t make an All-Star team until 2010.

He used to give CP3 work because he was a lot bigger 6’3 210 and shifty but he was never the player CP3 was. CP3 was better at pretty much everything.

If he was really driven to be an all time great, he could’ve been one. He should be still playing in the league if he had that drive but he got his money and dipped.

Nikka that’s not what happened and that’s not respectable. He had chronic ankle problems and his game was predicated on his shiftiness side to side. He was also a bit of a product of Sloan’s flex offense. He pivoted from a balance 20/10 guard to more of a scoring PG.

Also, dude was a Texas boy that played in Utah. He wasn’t built for the bright lights he hated playing and living in NYC. By the time he got to Cleveland he was past his prime and again struggled with high expectations.

These players need to keep it real and point out to Shaq that he wouldn't be shyt without the body he was born into so he should just shut the fukk up. I'm not calling him unskilled but if Shaq was born into D-Will's body with that skill set then he ain't even starting for his high school team. Almost everyone Shaq rips on is a better shooter, ballhandler, and passer than Shaq was and has a better work ethic without pulling so many dikk moves and kissing cop ass. Shaq is using the fact that he was born into a certain body to criticize other players who worked harder than him and developed more basketball skill than him. That's bullshyt, it's not their fact they ain't 7'1" with an ultra-athletic 300lb body. If he's going to claim that he somehow worked harder when he was notoriously lazy in the offseason and never developed any of the skills they developed, then he deserves to get pushback on his bs?

Deron was a top two PG/top 10 player in Utah. Just that he’s built like pillsbury doughboy and his body just broke down on him. He got traded to the nets and was never the same.
