Do LWO members ever make threads for Shaq? After all, he led them to 3 rings during their lifetime.

and 3 finals MVP awards...there was no doubt who's team that was
Nope. As a matter of fact they seem to not only have nothing good to say about Shaq, but they seem convinced that Shaq is actually why Kobe didn't lead them to 10 titles in a row.

Shaq's competition at center after Hakeem's retirement outside of Dikembe Mutumbo and Patrick Ewing's, Latrell Sprewell/Allan Houston era Knicks has been garbage.

Dikembe Mutombo
Arvydas Sabonis

All played Shaq relatively well. Not to mention that every team in that time period had at least 1 or 2 guys that were legit big bodied 7 footers (or close to it)
They may have not been dominant offensive players like prime Hakeem or Ewing but guys like Kelvin Cato, Erick Dampier, Theo Ratliff, Alonzo Mourning, Shawn Bradley, Ervin Johnson, Rasho Nesterovic, Rik Smits, Michael Olowakandi and the aging Ewing and Akeem etc were plenty to deal with on a nightly basis. Its not like he was posting up 6'8/200 unathletic cacs

It wasnt just his size. Watch his footwork...moveset...spin...USE of power...the flawless turnaround jumper and jumphook...the desperation in his foes' face...the triple teams of futility...2000 shaq >>>>>>>>

Ends patrick ewings career and embarasses Kurt Thomas

Embarasses the pacers triple teams. Ends rik smits career...embarasses dale davis.

:ohhh: I've always wanted to know how the Bulls swept the Magic in the '96 Eastern Conference Finals with Shaq as the Center for the Magic.

Someone here brought up an excellent point about the illegal defense rule, making it harder to double team. When Horry was on the court, Shaq would pretty much be unstoppable. The 61/21 game agains the clippers is still the most impressive single game performance I've seen personally. A lot more impressive than Kobes grating 81. Shaq made Cherokee Parks look like a little kid. Not saying Parks was a very good player but he was a 6'10-6'11 nba player, shaq completely destroyed him and the whole clippper team, like they werent even there. He was a man on a mission. Outside injury NOTHING was stopping him from MVP/chip that year

Edit:
sorry it was Pete chilcutt not parks. Always confuse those 2 poor man's laetners

How is that more impressive than 81? :dahell:
