i only saw a 6 second clip and couldn't make out a gun, but i'm trying to understand the context here.
is he not allowed to own a gun? because i see plenty of people on youtube showing off their gun collections.
Nothing inherently wrong or illegal about that.

Was he threatening to shoot someone with his gun? I see cacs hype colion nior all the time and he has no problem showing off guns on video. Are you required to preach about how you are pro 2nd amendment in order for it to be ok? Why isn't the NRA calling for a boycott?
trying see what rule or law was actually broken,

Or people need to be secure and redefine what corny is. Because WHY are those men corny and not people like Ja. Dude for a profession that pays well and crashes out. That's Cornier than all those other dudes combined.
Ja is being looked at as corny though. Because his background is from a two parent home. A lot of folks look at black people that came from two parents on some square shyt. My fiancé said this to me and she’s a black woman that at first she thought I was on some square shyt because I came from a two parent home. Which the norm for her family is single parents raising kids.

I guarantee if Allen Iverson was on some shyt like Ja there probably would have been less blowback because he came from the hood.

He was in a club with the gun. Second, it was in Denver which means he had the gun while on official NBA business on the plane and in the locker room.

Well in Denver its legal to carry in a club, but if this is about company guidelines i get it. didn't know they could control your right to firearms outside of the court and practice facilities though.

Ja looking more like a 🌽 as each day goes by 🤦🏾‍♀️ I think they're saying he assaulted a teenager (17yrs old) and went off gun toting (flashing his gun) at the teen or something of that nature.

That's why he's being investigated by Colorado police, not just for solely having a gun on hand.

He a TN resident so if the gun is legal then he would have had to bring it on the team plane which is against nba rules. CO allows guns in places that serve alcohol but it is illegal to be carrying while intoxicated in CO.

No offense but this is an embarrassingly bad take. There's a difference between showing off a gun collection on YouTube vs drunkenly waving a gun at a camera like a hitter in a drill video while singing the lyrics to a song about killing your opps.

It might be against the law to have a gun in the club he was in and the police are looking into it.

Regardless, his employer doesn't have to fukk with it AT ALL which is why he got suspended. I'm willing to bet most mainstream companies would've done far worse than firing him if one of the faces of their company was out here acting this reckless.

Some of yall really say anything to be contrarian and then wonder why it's so hard to move forward as black people

He just showed a gun. If Joe Engles had a Bereal of him toting a 40. He wouldn't be suspended. Where is the NRA for Morants rights. They suspended him cause the "implication"

NBA rules state that players, coaches etc. can’t carry a firearm on a plane.

You can have a gun on your own time but he was in Denver for a road game so that qualifies as team business. He violated an NBA rule and now they need to find out how that gun was in his possession. If that's his personal firearm how did it go from Memphis to Denver?
