Seems so, I think it was itt someone broke down how he not in any of the ig pics and she did that "new chapter in my life" caption on a girls trip/party. :manny:
It would also explain SAS’s comments a few weeks ago about guy’s blowing up his mentions about her. I doubt he would have done that if she was still with dude.

It was very predictable to anyone with a brain that First Take with Shannon was going to do far better than Undisputed.

Too many got overly excited after the first episode of Undisputed with the new members. People are probably starting to realize that Keyshawn is at best a number three on a show and Sherman is just annoying.

Facts. In this day and age of social media and easy access to former pro athletes, everybody should’ve known Sherman wasn’t gonna do great on tv when no great audio clips of him can even be found of him on social media discussing sports.

That and when Disney Sports (a top sports platform) cuts you, your profile has peaked and they really view you in the future as a liability rather than an asset

Which is crazy for someone like Key considering how highly ESPN valued him just a few years ago.

The sports talk industry is oversaturated and alot of these younger former players are coming in hungrier, willing to take less money and better polished in these analysts roles.

Say what you want about RG3, but he understands the tv game, viral moments and the importance of engaging the audience better than Keyshawn

And that’s what I think did Key in more than anything as I think they would have kept him if he was making millions less. He’s no worse than a lot of those football dudes they trot out there on Get Up everything.

I also think that he, Max and J Will got set up for failure with their radio show since that medium is dying these days. You can tell that they gave up as they went the cheap route with their replacements.

That's the thing with Keyshawn though. They still paid him*. So they told him they would rather pay him to sit at home, than to have him on TV. That means your worth ratings wise was negative. Same with Max. Marcellus said he really not sweating anything because Max is still getting paid.

* - This is before he joined FS1. He couldnt join Undisputed while still under contract so ESPN/Keyshawn reached a settlement.

That's not ESPN's call though and more so on the mothership who makes that decision as they're well aware that talent aren't going to sit out the remainder of their contract especially if they have years left on their deal. The only person I can remember who did it was Jaws and even then it's always been said that ESPN wanted to bring him back on air, but Disney said no.

FS1 did them the favor by taking on some of the money that they still owed him. That's why I kept trying to tell posters when they were believing that tweet about Key getting his bread in full from ESPN in that he wasn't going to be able to double dip if he went elsewhere. Even Doc isn't doing so with being an commentator.

Do you have a source for this? Don't get why being a commentator should impact coaching money still owed.
I can't remember where the original source came from, but it was a reddit chain that linked insiders talking about it when it was first brought about their interest in him. They noted that one of the main reasons ESPN wanted Doc was because Philly was still going to owe the bulk of his contract.

Offset language is the norm in the sports world as I remember reading years ago that even Rex Ryan wasn't able to double dip when he first went to ESPN after getting fired. That's why it was insane that Jimbo Fisher had the clause in his contract because that's not the norm at all.
